Social Media Drags Haircare Brand Ebin New York After Ex-Employee Details The Reality Of Being The Only Black Woman In Their Corporate Office [Video]

The beauty company Ebin New York is in hot water after a former Black employee detailed her experience with the Korean-owned brand.

A TikToker who goes by @Miylifestyle shared the hostility she faced in the work environment as the only Black woman working in their corporate office. According to her, she was met with co-workers who overstepped boundaries and her leadership, who often left her out of team activities and trips. When she had to travel, she was forced to go separately and stay in sketchy motels. Making things even more upsetting, staffers and managers began speaking exclusively in Korean around the woman so that they could talk about her. Even after going to human resources, the ex-social media stagger says the mistreatment continued, with her even learning that her co-workers wanted her gone.  Eventually, she granted the company their wish.

After the story went viral, social media users rallied around her and slammed the company. Many pleaded with black women to stop patronizing Ebin, which carries popular products such as edge control, tamer sticks, wig glue, bond remover, and much more.

Ebin New York doesn’t appear to have commented on the matter publicly. However, judging by the outrage, they may want to do some damage control and fast.
