Aight yall, I'm kinda blown about somethin. I'm a hip hop head, and Ioooove my male rappers/MCs out here. But I want to know, where tha hell are all tha decent female MCs at? Now I know back in tha day there was Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, Salt & Pepper. Who do we have now? We got Trina, Lil Kim, Foxxy Brown, Lil Mama, Eve, Remy Ma, Missy Elliott, Jackie O, then another somewhat new chick named Nicki Minaj. Aight well most of these chicks are on some modeling, acting type stuff, which is cool..get that paper boo boo. Then a couple of them only rap about my ass is phat, p**** is wet and phat, I get money, f*** niggas, why you hatin on me b****, I had your nigga eatin this, b**** my weave is tighter than yours, blah, blah, blah lol. Well wit the exception of Lil Mama, she's tha voice of the young people...I guess. I'm down wit female physical empowerment and knowin that my p**** is power. Ok I get it, we live in a sex driven society where women will always be tha minority. Especially if you're a black woman, BUT that doesn't mean we have to talk about tha same bullshyt all tha time. I love my black men and I know they love us. And I know there are some niggas out there that aren't men. But come on....I jus need one female MC that ain't talkin bout tha same ole same ole. I only have 3 MCs that I'm feelin and that's Jean Grae, Whip Montez, and maybe Bahamadia. Don't know where these chicks are but these females got decent lyrical skills that would rip any dude. Now I grew up listenin to Foxxy and Kim, I give them big props for doin what they did. They gave females a sense of gettin theirs sexually or monetary wise back in like the late 90s. But now I'm 27 and I need some different views. I mean iono maybe it's jus me, that's jus how I feel about it. Tha hip hop game has changed but in reference to female MCs it hasn't changed too much. Cause sex & money is what makes tha world go round. And that's basically why some female MCs drop out of tha game. They either whore themselves out physically tryin to make it or they choose to take on other areas in tha industry. I am proud of my gurl Queen cause she doin tha dayum thang and Eve is as well. The reality show shyt on VH1 blew me too, but some of those females were decent so I hope they do end up gettin airplay one day. Lyrically/literally I wanna say RIP to Lauryn Hill, Rah Digga, & Left Eye. They were also tha best that eva done it in hip hop. I know there are actually some good female MCs out there somewhere, so someone please enlighten me. Then I can add them to my Zune collection lol. Aight I'm done ventin lol, what are yall thoughts?
