I want to get married naked, so that brings my cost down drastically. lol
You got me over here saying to myself, "I can do this!" and I'm not even engaged.

Spend 3500 on your trip and dress and 1500 on the reception. Or you could do a New Year's Eve Wedding/reception at the same location. That way you save on the church rental and everyone will come because they probably are looking for something to do anyways. You can find a gown for cheap or either buy a slinky silver or white coctail type dress since it's a party. Do a lot with candles instead of flowers especially if you have a night ceremony because they are cheaper, like have your bridesmaids carry candles instead and do centerpieces of candles on the tables. My friend ordered flowers from a grocery store for her wedding to save money and they were stunning. Someone simply had to pick them up for her. She saved over 1500 for the exact same thing the florist was going to give her. David's bridal has $99 dresses, you can really find one and all you need is a good tailor to work with. If you pick a classic style dress, you will be timeless. Check with local colleges for a cheaper videographer. You can use a student for your photos as well and save a ton. I'll think of some more stuff.
