Hey ladies , I may or may not be familiar to you all. I'm a bit sporadic with posting but I have a dilemma. I think I may be having a quarter life crisis! lol I kid, it's not that deep . It's just that I think I have totally lost interest in my current career which is in graphic design, I would love to work in either the music and/or fashion industry but I'm not sure where to start, or if it's worth it to start all over and work my way up again. So I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences and if so what did you do? Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

you know bella i am feeling you on this one, i have worked in finance for 5yrs and at first i loved it meeting new ppl and working on investment accounts, but now its like i am done with the way the economy is and ppl constantly calling and talking crazy about there 401ks, i am ready for a new start i am currently looking at going back to school for paralegal services, i have a client who is really good friends with this big time lawyer that needs a paralegal, i would start off in his office as his executive assist and after school become his paralegal the hours would still be flexible the only person i would answer to would be him and i he will set me up to were i can work of home sometimes and i would travel from time to time. does any ladies have advice for me or does any one work as a paralegal now

You should try the Blackstone paralegal course, it's the best one and you can get done in 6-12 months depending on your own pace.

You should talk to airbrush about the make-up and there are tons of massage schools, but if you love research that's half the battle right there, to the paralegal course.

i will i forgot that airbush( havent heard too much from her) does makeup thanks and i do have my massage license i have a table, chair and a hot stone kit, i have all my massage stuff. but thanks i am going to look into blackstone

There are many online paralegal courses (i have seen many of them when I've been doing research for myself). To already have a job set up is half the battle. I work at a Private Investment Firm and have been doing so for over 10 yrs. I make a good salary so I need to be able to go back to school and make a similiar income when I get out which is hard. I just feel like I should just chill for now, wait a couple of years, liquidate everything and start my own business a la Stella in How Stella Got Her Groove Back. I saw a headhunter and they say basically the only other place I could go and make a similiar salary is a law firm. Aaaargh!

If anyone is interested, they should look into being a Court Reporter/Stenographer. It just requires alot of time dedicated to practice. But there is a huge need for them now that everything is Closed Captioned. You can make alot of of extra money working at law firms and doing closed captioning work for tv shows/ sporting events..stuff like that.

@ SexyCanI, I thought about getting into massage therapy because when I shampoo my clients they ask, are you a massage therapist too? They love when I massage their scalp, but I'm not sure if I could massage someones whole body do you enjoy doing it? I feel that I might enjoy it if I learn hot to massage coectly.

yes i like to do massages i just luv how you it can really relax you, and in some cases put you in like a coma state then when you wake up its like you are energized, i remember finishing school and
going to this day spa for a parttime job and for the interview i had to give a full body, well with school we practiced on each other but we stayed in our underwear will when i went to do the massage on the interviewer she was butt butterball naked i mean nothing was on so i'm like i dont even a fuck i'm not doing the front but it may take a minute for you to be completely comfortable giving full body but i luv giving them and my man is now spoiled he gets massages 3 times a week now, but it is so interesting like if you have a headache there is this massage technique you do on the hands apply a little pressure and hold it for like 30 seconds it helps reduce it and in some cases the headache goes away and you will learn alot about the body, the only thing some ppl have body odor but i luv doing the hot stone that is the shit
