Nooooooo. Too much grooming time!!! Plus men mature slowly. I'll let him go thru the bs with all of you, then when he's ready, he can come to me. Lol

She's right, just ask the soon-to-be divorced Mrs. Wade!

YOu know what! I think the same. I married my husband after he retired and had met him less than a year prior when he played. He had a bunch of girlfriends some were even serious girlfriends LOL. He married me, and I recall hearing and reading all the mail the other girls left him asking WHY her and not me. His reply was, she came at the right time, and ladies its all about the timing. It has nothing to do with how you look, what you do, how you cook. When a man is ready a man is ready and he will pick the one who makes him feel the best about himself at that moment. LOL sad but true. FYI my husband only dated the badest chicks in his time better looking than me. I'm also 10 years younger than he is.

I agree. The key is when HE is READY.
My previous co-worker told me this a couple of years ago, he picked her when he was ready and he chose her because she embodied all the qualities he was looking for at that point in time.

I know because I was dating a bballer that is in his mid 20s for over a year. I know he's a playboy and is not ready to settle down. So I had to let him go. I vowed not to do it again. I dont have patience for that. I still date ballers but will only get serious with one if he's ready to settle down. The "relationship" conversation happens on the 2nd date. If he says he's just "sowing his royal oats" then I move on. I just know I gotta get an older baller that been thru it and wanna be done with it.

ok i agree with alot... ok so here the deal:

Ive been dating a "soon to be baller" for over a year. He pretty much already has the contract in his lap and i care about him alot.... But on the other side I have someone who has already established himself as a baller. I mean we've only gone out to eat, a movie, he buys things, etc. but i have the feeling he's trynna get serious now.

Do I stay with the future hopefull that i really do care about, or go with the baller with whom im sure ill have no problem getting to really care about? lol

that's what i've been thinking bout lately!!! the "baby" bballer has two more years on his contract and he might get resigned so i'm just not gonna think about him. girl, i've been with a baseballer (older too...late 20s) but still wanted to be a playboy even tho he said he wanted to settle down. smdh. i let him go too. i've also dated several footballers, but they all wanted to be playboys too!! just my damn luck!!! i'm still looking tho. I'm a good woman and have alot to offer so when i find one whose ready to settle down, then it'll be all good.

Yeah but you'll get played like a fiddle and gotta go thru all the bs. it may or may not pay off in the end. to me, its not worth it. if you dont care about get hurt in the process, then do it. i just want all the "lifestyle" out of their system when we're together.

.....for now. Do yall really really think he's gonna stay retired? He has such an ego. Plus, I'm sure he still yearns for a championship and would like to be back on top where he once was. What happened? I remember when he was drafted. He was #1...

Men love the thrill of the chase (make the guy chase a little longer next time). Take it as a learning experience. He may be sincere or he may be telling you what you want to hear (false hope). Hopefully you'll come out on top the next time around...
