A GOOD BABYMOTHER?

So here it is people, I've been dating this man on and off for a few years (more off than on) and recently HE brought up the subject of us having children. When asked why he wants that with me, he basically said because he knows I would be a "good babymother." Now nothing against all of the babymothers out there but thats not the path I want my life to take. I want to be Wife NOT wifey, babymama, bust-it-baby, bottom bitch or whatever and I let him know that. His response? "You can be more." Im confused, he's a gorgeous chocolate man with dimples, bow-legs and a six-figure salary...I have my life in order, financially, emotionally, etc But I do not want to waste my time with a man thats only looking for a babymother. Shoud I ride this out and see where it goes or shoud I cut my ties and move on with my life? Thanks in advance for your opinions...

My Aunties, Momma, Cousins, Friends and I agree...men don't decide on issue like this you have to push them. Just a thought. Start planning!

Cut your ties! He's made it clear that he wants a babymomma, not a wife. You've made it clear that you want a husband before you have kids. These are two completely different and opposing ideologies. Don't try to force him into marriage, with an ultimatum or something. Even if he follows through, he's just doing it for you, not himself, and that will never turn out right.

He could have been testing you, but he did approach you on some baby mama tip. I would be very careful. Don't get caught up in feelings and start thinking about marriage just yet. Men usually say what they mean- BELIEVE THEM!!! Maybe he just wants a child and thought that you were the most suitable candidate. Maybe he wants more. Time will tell, but I would strap up, like you said, bring your own condoms and wait wait wait. The truth will come to light!
