NG! Girl, I never got offended by any of your posts or thought that you were trying to be above anyone else. I didn't get that vibe, but sometimes in life people take things you say/write literally because maybe they lack the life experience, maturity or empathy to recognize the dynamics of being human. There is always a reason and a different perspective behind everything. It's always easier to misconstrue or take things personally when you only view things from your own perspective. In reality, that's what most people do, but when you have had things happen in life and you have the ability to learn things about other people, you no longer do that. People misunderstand me all the time, but I don't let it get to me anymore because anyone that has had a conversation with me for more than five minutes knows what kind of person I am. It's obvious to me that you have been through things in life and it's not fair for other people to judge you without getting to know you. Sure, we all have stories, but some stories really change who you are and how you view the world. Sometimes we heal quickly. Other times, it may take us years, but we have to live our lives how we choose and deal with our issues instead of harboring them. They will creep out at the most inopportune moments. Remember when I posted that discussion about anger? Sometimes we don't even realize that we are angry or negative. It is possible to be optimistic and be negative at the same time when you hold onto things. I'm sure everyone on here has been hurt in some form, but you have to feel the pain, address it and move on. I don't care what anyone says, having a girlfriend that cares about you is a gift. Sure, I love kicking it with dudes, but nothing compares to my girls. Yes, women can be catty, but the ones who come at you wrong, especially the ones that don't know you are acting upon insecurities within themselves. I don't care if someone is bougie or "ghetto" (I use those terms loosely). As long as they are a good person and we get along, I'm fine. I take issue with those that spit hatred and commit evil acts against anyone or try to make me feel bad about myself for being me. Just be who you are. You will come into this once you love and accept who you are (not saying that you don't already). I am me. I do what I do. I wear what I wear. I post what I post. I say what I say. And WHAT! I live on my own terms, in my own time. Not everyone is going to be on your team. Concentrate on being healthy (emotionally, spiritually, and physically) and happy and get your squad together! It's 2009. You are better off than most people. You have life, health, stability, and intelligence. If you leave BA, I'll miss you, so just give me your info before you leave. Otherwise, live your life! Hey ey, hey ey, hey ey...
