I had a discussion with a male friend about this era of sexuality. I told him that I feel like women in the late 80's and early 90's had it better then women in this era. I am speaking in terms, of men showing respect, generosity, and the willingness to sustain monogamous relationships (not friends with benefits). My premise was that women valued their bodies more. To give it up on the first date would be equivalent to blacks not voting for Mayor Barry. I believe this is partially why women were treated better.

He responded by saying, "there were women that were easy back then". He said " that the reason why women don't get treated as well is because they don't command respect. A woman has the right to get her some on the first date. If the sex isn't good she might not want to stay. Its high school when you wait longer than six weeks to have sex especially when you're 30's".

So with all that being said, When you meet a baller or average joe, and you are feeling the chemistry between the two of you, if you just go with the flow and wake up the next morning beside him after meeting him that night or one date? Do you think that you can still be respected and not perceived as loose? Would you be afraid to ask for a little dough if you are in it just for the sex? Are their any ladies who had sex the first night and have or had meaningful relationship?

Maybe I am bit too traditional and I have a feeling my thoughts are becoming outdated. Let me know what you think.
