Ehh I personally wouldn't consider it a date yet. When they get older like 13, 14, they may consider it a date. But I think friendships between the sexes are still pretty platonic at this age, most girls and boys even consider each other "gross" lol. I wouldn't worry, especially if the mom is supervising.
Oh, well I dunno then. I think it's pretty harmless IMO...do they consider it a date though? Or just friends hanging out?

hmmm, it is a group date, which I think 13 would be more appropriate, but these days kids are moving a little faster so it's a toss up. You said he's mature, I say let him go and I'm usually the first one in line with a hell no, but *sigh* it's not so bad. The sad part is your baby is growing up:(
