Am I wrong or does it seem like all the yada yada I keep hearing from some black men about black women seems to stem from us wanting them to catch up to us and do better? I swear, I feel like all the noise seems to be successful black women sit the eff down, shut the eff up, do whatever your black king (who neither has a pot to piss in nor window to throw it out of) says to do, hand over your loot because you have to come with fat paycheck and put a smile on your face about it while you're at it.

Maybe I'm just sleepy.

When I read the title I said out loud" no" I hadn't even read the story yet lol..but no your not wrong your telling the truth! Shoot and they do need to do better, some of these men want women to take care of they a****, what happen to fifty/fifty, I guess that doesn't exist nowadays smh..
You're not sleepy & you're definitely not wrong....
Well the way black women are now, it will probably get worse. So much has changed since I was little. I remember when the black woman was all that to black men. But women became more aggressive. All while trying to prove the point, that we can make it with or without a man, we made men soft. We started pursuing them, instead of little them chase. We started taking care of them, instead of letting them take care of us. We took on the duties of man AND wife (even if we aren't married). So many of us have taken on the role of the mother, and we do everything for these able bodied men like we're obligated and they're children. Our black men have gotten comfortable with the fact that there is always a black woman who will do whatever they want them to do. Being a black woman and actually having standards higher than "you must have a penis", is taboo. Especially considering, we are the one race that was brainwashed to be divided in the first place. We should be grateful ANYONE wants us, in their eyes. This is sad :-/
The only thing most black men bring to the table is a hard d*** and the ones that do have something to offer feel like they are too good for black women now. Maybe its not the same in every city though...

^5 thanks! I would like to know what happened to 50/50 too. smh I am about tired of all the black female bashing because we want black men to do better. If they did better then they could get the black women they wanted and then they could stop bashing black women. Instead they are trying to grind us down to the level where they are comfortable having us. smh

I feel so sorry for all the beautiful little black princesses who growing up now.

Thank you! I really was wondering was I just tired because normally I ignore the BS but something just got stuck in my craw as the old folks use to say.

You know, we sit on this site and talk about a lot of stuff, from fashion to the latest tea. I've only been around about a year and a half and I don't remember any black men bashing post. We bash each one individually if they deserve it. lol

Just of late I'm seeing a lot of black female hate on a site about women who are either on the come up or have already made it. These women have made it through various means and they share their experiences with anyone who wants to follow in their footsteps. We support each other and elove each other. At least we did. All this negative energy on the site is starting eff up my vibe. I don't like it.

Yeah it is sad. Very sad. I wish I knew how to stem the tide and make them change. But as I have so often been told and said: You can't change people but you can change how you react and deal with them.

Girl, I haven't lived everywhere and I don't have friends everywhere but I do have them in Texas, Florida, NY, of course Bmore, Delaware, and Philly and I keep hearing some of the same stories over and over. Black women are evolving and it seems like a lot of our men are de-evolving. And like a snowball effect, each generation we lose more ground with them.

now i hate to read stuff like this coming from a bunch of beautiful, successful, intelligent blk women. :(

i dont think this is as widespread as you guys make it seem. there are plenty of blk men out there like this and the media capitalizes on it due to the fact they know it will create a buzz so they glorify the ones who are with women of other races. i can only focus on what is right in front of me. i cant worry about what pookie and nem doing or what the man/woman's prefrence next door to me is. im sorry i see plenty of successful blk couples on a daily bases. for every successful blk women/man i see with another race, i see that x5 with blk on blk relationships. i guess i just dont pay that s*** much attention because i know when im ready to settle down i will find me a blk queen that will be on the same level im on or maybe even a little higher. ;)
