Are U Too Urban For Rock?

Do you think u are too urban or too "hood" to enjoy listening to rock music? Not the kind where u dont understand what they are saying & feel like they are putting a demonic spell on u. Im talking like Linkin Park, Gorillaz, No Doubt & N.E.R.D. Would u consider urself a fan of this type of music?

Im the Biggest N.E.R.D fan ever!!! I love all kinds of rock Kings of Leon, some coldplay and many others...
but I still listen to urban music...I guess its not about being hood its just your music preference

i must admit i do listen to linkin park, evanescence & some aerosmith. i listen to maroon 5 also but i think they're more pop than rock

All of these guys mentioned are new school to me. I listen to all types of music. And we didn't title it "blue eyed soul" either. I just haven't picked up todays artist, I am still stuck in the 80's and 90's. I have an 80's party tomorrow night. Aerosmith,Redhot Chilli Peppers,Def Leppard,Guns n Roses. I love Monster Ballads! I may write ebonics but there is more to me. I was teased growing up, but I didn't care;soon I had everyone singing "Pour some sugar on me!" I am really showing my age.
I do like Maroon 5.

N.E.R.D. is definitely a fave of mine. I also love Radiohead and TV on the Radio. Check them out!!! Santogold is hot as well. I can't really see limiting myself to one genre of music. That's like only eating one type of food. You need variety in your life!
