Okkkk...So as some of you know from my last post I started dating a new guy who is 10 years my senior no kids and never been married and I was worried bout the money factor but in my time of need he came to my rescue. Well I moved to Miami recently and without a job and he's letting me stay at one of his properties which is a duplex rent free. So Ive been here for a month and I havent been working he has been financing pretty much everything I ask for and need. He introduced me to his whole family cause they all live in Miami practically and introduces me to them as his wife. I think you ladies were super right about him being serious. So he leaves the country and leaves me with credit cards and bank cards with pins and says if I need anything get it. Im so tempted to check his balances and see what he has goin on would I be wrong I know he is testing me to see if I will go stupid and blow up his cards since he will be gone for two weeks. Should I check them?

It wouldnt have even occured to me to look, but if you want to, go ahead. But not if you know you'd go stupid with them if you see sucha large balance and you think he wouldnt notice alot of money missing.
He wants to see how you would act as his wife. Would you clean him out or would you at least have some kind of sense.
Why did you move to Miami?

PREACH!!!!!!! Now if you should happen to buy......let's say a roll of toilet papper and they tell you that the card has been declined, then you'll know you have a problem. lol No need to check balances. It's either declined or it's not.......end of story.

I am not trying to be smart but trying to understand why the 20-somethings spend so much time researching finances. My man hands me credit cards and cash. I am not asking another damn question. I am not checking balances. If I feel the need to buy something I will whip his cards out. If it gets declined, then I will whip out my own.
When I get home, I will hand him the offending card and tell him he needs to handle that and keep it moving. To quote a favorite song of mine: God bless the child that's got its own.
Only thing I research is whether or not our likes and dislikes mesh and STD/STI status. Everything else, from wives, hidden gfs and kids will come to light without me spending time, energy and emotion researching. Stop wasting your energy and concentrate on what is important.
You are alone for the next two weeks in Miami with cash and credit cards. Find something to do that will impress him when he returns and asks what you've been up to. Stay out of the clubs. Hit some galleries, fund raisers, do some job hunting, business scouting, etc. Do something productive with your time.

Yea,she is with me it was hard in Atlanta I had zero family there and no friends really but I know more people in Miami so its easier
