*sigh* I know this discussion board will probably turn real ghetto real fast, but, I had my friend that's going to do my hair look at it, and we decided a sew in may be my best bet (I like having my hair redone often, and that allows less stress for taking down and doing over). What brands of hair do you all suggest for a woman that works out and sweats heavily?

I do not use the Indian hair and will not use it. I've tried it in a few colors and that texture was no where near natural for me, and I had issues with tangling and matting just like the cheaper Chinese/Korean hair.

Thanks, gals!

I LOVE Ebony Beauty supply. Velvet is too expensive for me right now, I know you can reuse it, I'm just so leery of the Remi after using it once. How much do they charge for it (without your discount, I know they start cutting prices for their regulars on certain items).

I don't wear weave, but I have two friends that have used Bohyme (Tee being one) and I was amazed by the quality and blendability [is that a word???] of it, especially if you have fine hair. Like, your hair will be looking like the cover of Sports Illustrated, lol, seriously!

Milky Way is the cheaper version of good weave brand & great for sew ins....it won't tangle or matte up trust I've used it for like a month and a half just kept using the white creme base heat activated oil sheen called "Black & Sassy" bump with flat iron and head out.goodluck

I loathe Milky way...

Sew in? That isn't less stress, the thread can pop your hair. Lace fronts are the way to go and you can change them as often as you want no harm done! But for weaving I use to use Outre Yaki Perm or Yaki always looks natural and the hair has good quality.

Girl, when I'm desperate, I go to USA. I had a falling out with them a few years ago, one of the owners was being really disrespectful to an African client and that didn't sit well with me.

If you want premium hair, you need to go for Wagmans, Halley's Curls, Laniks or Extentions Plus (Megan Good and Joy Bryant use this hair).

Check out blackhairmedia.com weaves section for good advice and pics from the members. They also have reviews on how the hair actually behaves when its on and how to care for premium human hair.
