I don't believe it is easier for a certain group to date outside their race.  As much as we want to believe it's ok, interracial couples still face a lot of stigmas.

i was told to only date a black man.. i would love to marry one and have him do right by me but the way things are goin... idk.. on one hand it seems like they treat women of other races SO much better. then on the other hand i would tell any woman of another race stay AWAY from them! lol they ain't nothin but trouble! The way other races of men treat me, honey, i would say 'so long fair well' for good but black men are so sexy to me, i can;t imagine bein without one.

I don't know about the first part but I agree with Tone that some none black women are told by their friends and family not to date a black man which is so f****** enraging to me I can't even begin to explain how I feel about it. I had a good friend in high school who had to keep her dating a black guy a secret from her family because her Dad was racist, and when he found out he beat her so bad she had to go to the hospital, he kicked her out of her home and wouldn't speak to her and forced her to have an abortion when she learned she was pregnant by the same guy a year later. Some people are still so ignorant and so painfully retarded when it comes to interracial dating that I want to whoop their a**** until they can't see anything, let alone someone's skin color anymore.

For the most part ive been influenced to date whomever i wanted but i remember when i was dating a puerto rican guy my cousin told me not to  because latin men were possessive and abusive. Its funny because my cousin ended up marrying a puerto rican woman. I left the puerto rican man who treated me like a queen for a black man who ended up being possessive and abusive. So basically the sterotypes are a bunch of bull, it doesnt matter what race there are good and bad in all.

My father's side of the family is more on the only date black men side. But then my cousin brought a puerto rican to a family get together one time and you can tell who was divided. Smh. Personally, it doesn't matter what race you are, if I'm attracted to you, then I'm attracted to you. Plain and simple.

Although, I found it interesting that when I was dating a black/latin guy (I'm mostly black) he said that if we ever had kids that he wouldn't want them to date outside of their race. O_o That caught me soooo off-guard because he was a mix of races himself (hell we ALL are).

Your words not mine. My dad is black, my daughter' father is black, so is my brother, uncles cousins and the many black men I run across evey day. And I cannot tell you if any of them have positivly affected my life at all. I can count on one hand how many non-black men, professors and coworkers, who have given me more sound advice and help than any of the men in my family or life without wanting something in return. So your opinion is yours and mine is mine.
