--- this my be an old post but...

U know how many popular high school ball players there are?! none of them have money and only a SELECT few actually make it.. whether the others ran with the wrong crowd, ended up dying, broke a leg, or just plain wasn't good enough.. they all had girls.. of course at least one loved them for them and probably are still with them til this day.. NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL or not..

Niggas AFTER high school be still trynna bring up the fact that they used to be high school "stars" and be 30.. and its like "HONEY YOU NEEDA GO FIND SOMETHIN ELSE TO DO! that has no effect on now, the present. u might as well had kept that to your self" 

i have dated an extremely popular football player in high school and after he broke his lil leg... we both started sinking into this depressing pity party.. and the thing about it is.. this dude just gave up! his whole career, his whole future, his whole scholarship. he flushed it down the toilet and said it wasn't worth it. i had to go. and that may sound really superficial but one thing i hate is a man who is willing to give up at the drop of a dime. he didn't try to train anymore, matter fact he never stepped foot back on a football field EVER! he was young and i believed in him, that he could recuperate and start playing in college. he be still trynna get with me today.. and back then, i didn't think about money or how important a scholarship would have been.. but today? coming outta college wit all this f***** debt?! i have NOTHING  to say to him lol. no ambition will get BOTH of us no where!

@peach.. I think they deserve credit for their 15 minutes of fame or 20 years of fame. I mean guys today have confidence and athlete swag. They are changing by day with age and with just the way America boosts their egos. Alot of men/boys today talk about swag and it's just started about a couple of years ago. But believe it or not men/boys are failing in society and it's sad. That same swag is too blame fir that too. Women on the other hand. That's different. I think they font deserve thatuch credit I mean I'm sure other men don't really give a crap about who the next man is fugging.

@peach.........even when I was in college I stayed with the basket/football players. Even in high school... I stayed with the confident ones the ones that had that discipline and still stayed in their books. The funny thing tho that I noticed was the dumb down classes they had. It was funny because the whole football team had the class and they of course got good grades. I understood the politics in that. Being that I was younger I looked up to them and definitely have plenty lessons learned both good and bad and sad. It's still like that but now its what I choose at the end of the day.

@lucky.. Believe it or not there are some good women out there and of course they are ugly ass $hit.The ugly ones never get it and usually end up fat and stay broke.Luckily here at baller alert we know the importance if decision making. We understand the whole in's and out's.Well at least most of us. Trust me honey there are consequences in every decision in our beautiful little lives.Any questions?

I don't think anything is wrong with being with a man who's ambitious!!  I'm not saying any woman should plot on a man because of his pocket, but if he has goals and dreams- and she believes in him and his dreams...isn't that what you want in a spouse?

Men actually do that too.  What man wants a bum chick with no goals and aspirations?

@Tone.... I wouldn't know. I believe most of them are with ugly men who don't have confidence and lack physical and mental traits and probably don't really have much of a choice/chance when it comes to women. I mean why not get a fat, broke girl and feel like a champ. They just settle and at the end of the day think they are still top notch.

Well i will say this.. congratulations to ya homeboy firstly.. but to me, it was just like if i was kobe's gf.. and everybody know i hate kobe but he's the only person i could think of off the bat that was drafted from high school.. and the man sprained his wrist or broke his ankle, and he has that much talent to the point where he has gotten that much attention... you have GOT to be a fool to just give it up .. all you've worked for. and u gon let some body else, half as good, take your place! it's mind-boggling.. but hey. everything happens for a reason i guess.

Well, today, he's an awesome father, and he's married to the love of his life. He's not rich, but he takes very good care of his wife and kids.

His wife is very lucky to have man like him. She never wants for nothing, he bought her a new car and he spends a great deal of time with his kids.

I know I have made men feel this same way towards me.I mean no matter how or who I know the FRUSTRATION we seldom recognize is expecting to much from others.Like if I expect another person to react in a certain way to given situation, and he or sge fails to meet my expectation, have I the right to be disappointed or angry?Every human being has his own individual drives and motivations, beyond any control or acceptance or understandable.
