I think he deserves to get his life back. It boggles me that people STILL supported R.Kelly even after they saw the tape. Chris in a sense manned up for what he did, if it wasnt Rihanna would we care?
Ugh shut up Chris! woman beater

Oh stop it, the man apologized for what he did and regrets it. People are so crude and foul now-a-days the world acts as if they haven't done anything wrong in their entire lives. This was a situation that got out of hand between two young people, instead of bashing them we should be ensuring they don't make the same mistake again *smh*

Well, I don't think the incident defines him as a person, maybe woman beater was a little harsh (even though that's exactly what he did). But I still think it takes a certain type of person to be capable of such things, and not a very good person at that.
Also, apologizing doesn't make it go away in my books. All is not well for me. If he can prove he has his shit together, then his actions have spoken louder than his words. I also don't think this is in the same category as common "mistakes" people make. Not everyone has hit someone, not to mention a woman, when a sitation has gotten out of hand.

Alright, lets say she did. Even if she did hit him, I don't think that gives HIM a free pass to hit her back to the degree that he did. He didn't just hit, he beat the shit out of her face. I know that some people feel she played a part in this whole thing, which is true, obviously. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that there are two people to every argument. But I don't think that anyone deserves or has any culpability in being a victim. That's like when a defense lawyer tries to defend his client by saying the victim somehow brought it on herself, such as wearing provocative clothing when she was raped. There is no defense to assault, unless the person did infact hit you first and you were defending yourself. In that case, this would have been a domestic dispute and no charges would be brought upon Chris. Or else, charges would have been brought upon both of them. By the look of the picture, Chris did A LOT more than defend himself. My sister was charged for assault back on New years, for scratching her bf. Trust, if Rihanna harmed Chris badly, or if she did it first, there would most likely be no case. Girls get charged for assault all the time. Although this case was heavily fueled in the media, I believe the police and judge probably looked at all evidence, and made a well informed decision. Maybe they didn't, who knows.
I also don't care that this is Chris and Rihanna for the record, or girl vs. boy. I care about all people who are victims of domestic abuse, and I don't think it is ever the victims fault.
