Girl, you can have fun by your dang self. I love going out alone! My bestie just told me about this cool club for singles it's kinda exclusive and you cant have a felony or have filed bankruptcy. It’s called Adventures and Events they have at least 30 events a month. Check out the website.http://www.lotsofevents.com/

 

In order to be in this group you must have a stable job and something going for yourself. They told my bestie that they weed out the golddiggers. In the city she is located in the average age is 34 and there is only 20% black members (which was a turn off for her). But the representative said a lot of the white men like black women. Great way to network and meet people who know others

Gurl get out solo its not so bad..moving to a new city myself last not knowing anyone forced me to go solo. Trust you won't look desperate..well that is unless u actually are acting as such. Join meet up groups on meetup.com based on your interest and start socializing!

@DdoubleD, I stumbled across that site a while ago but the lack of racial diversity was the same thing that made me want to seek something else.  I get along well with all races of people, but I find that I click best with other minorities (Asian, Hispanic, immigrants).  White guys can be cool to hang with, but white chicks almost always say something that is so thoughtless and then try to play it off by being all perky/bubbly.  I realize this is not ALL white chicks, but all of the ones that I have encountered so far I really have to meter my time with them.

Yeah if I was solo I would for sure try it out.  They give you a trial period.  I like diversity too, but I am into Black men.  My friend is too, but she is using this group as a networking method.

I've been in Atlanta all my life so i know it's hard gettin women on the same page and goal as you. but anyway.. men who ain't bout that bull like when a woman is by herself. it makes it easier to talk to her. There's no pressure from the friends (no stank face friends, no showin off buying everybody drinks.. etc.) and it gives him an excuse to say something to you.

I just moved to Atlanta earlier this year and seem to have the same issue. I've joined meetup.com& it's cool... Also I tend to go out solo & like its posted above, I've had plenty of guys approach me; in the buckhead/ midtown area... Wanna hang tho message me, I'm always up for meeting cool ppl!!

Thanks for the advice ladies. I thought about going out solo last night and backed out.. It's boring your just standing or sitting there bored as hell! Anyway I'm thinking of trying this weekend see how it goes.. Alter ego we can def hang no prob :)

Well you can always try to make new friends...I always find places like a hair salon to be a good place to meet new people...places where girls that share similar interests like yourself are bound to be might be a good start...you could also try promoting some parties yourself that way you get to meet alot of people too...or join some party forums for your city and see where people are going and let them know you'll be attending...things like that are easy ways to expand your social circle. Then again I have no problem heading out solo if need be so that's something you may want to get comfortable with too.

*raises hand* I wanna hang too. I’ve always been an introvert but lately I feel like there’s an extrovert inside of me that’s dying to get out. But the side effect of being an introvert is that I’m really socially inept. I don’t have a problem going out alone but that gets boring  after a while and there are just some things you’d enjoy more if you had someone to share the experience with.
