Incorrect, I said I email it to men I'm talking to...Um who's making it a war?? Didn't know that writing an explanation was a war...but ok 0_o...it's weird to you, your opinion...we're gonna agree to disagree...

It's NO DIFFERENT then telling the other person what you want and what you're looking for, it's just in a written format.

I add and remove from my vision board just like a list I paste pics or words over old ones. I understand your perspective different strokes...

Ive just always felt vision boards made me get tunnel visioned, whereas if I wrote stuff down I could always go back and erase stuff in add more.  I guess I just feel differently about it....no knock on it tho.

I had created a list when I was single to narrow down what was really important to me and things I could not compromise on. Like creativebee my Vision Boards have worked. As for the list I never physically gave it to anyone but I did discuss what i wanted with guys I dated... the one that it didn't scare off was the one i walked down the aisle with so for me I must say it worked fine. Your thoughts manifest themselves into your reality.

I agree with Ally. I know exactly what I want in a woman.  Trust, loyalty, and respect are just the foundation blocks that I would assume were a part of the deal from the beginning.  I'm big on being progressive in a relationship, and the goals stated on a sheet or out loud give us a road map. Writing them down gives you a benchmark that can be reference as well. Some folks just live their lives day to day and expect things to just work out. Not me...I make a plan for success.

That said, I see the appeal of a vision board though. I know what I want. No need for me to visualize but not everyone has had the same experiences that I've had.  Everyone's journey is different. I like what the ladies have said about their different vision boards and how seeing it before them makes them re-evaluate their goals. I can do that mentally but not everyone does.  Different strokes for different folks. Whatever gets people into a good healthy relationship is a good thing.

 

Hmmm, maybe I need to recommend vision boards to some of the people in my life who are struggling.

i have a list too... but mine is kinda different... it's a list of everything I DONT WANT in a man... so if that trait or attribute pops up in someone new... i know to quickly dismiss him and not waste anymore time, because i know it's a deal breaker.

CC...I do think this is a good thing to recommend to someone who is struggling. I have vision boards for other things in life, but never really applied this to include a relationship. Being that I was married so long and so young now that I am single again I do need some direction and this may be just the thing that works. I just didnt want to come off looking crazy like Chilli, but like someone else said....I will stay away from the superficial stuff.

i have a vision board yes but not with a a list of what i want in my man. that's already in my head enough i dont wanna see it on my wall everyday.
