Do you return used make-up?
I've spent a nice penny on make-up from a department store. After applying it in natural sun light I don't like the make-up anymore. I was going to chop it up as a loss but my friend told me to return it and get my money back or exchange it for something else. She said people do it all the time especially stores like Walgreens. I only used the make-up once but I don't know how I feel about returning used make-up, it seems so unsanitary.
My question is, is it common to return used make-up?

Yes, people do it all the time. No, it is not unsanitary. They do not resell used/opened cosmetics. They return it to the manufacturer and/or dispose of it. My sister used to work at Sephora.
