I hear the people above me fighting to the point I'm about to pee on myself. I called my concierge and told to send security up there. I heard her get dragged from one side of the apt to the other. She screaming to the top of her lungs "i don't want u, i don't love u, let me leave"...

I called my concierge again told them if they don't the police I will...he said they are just fighting.

As I type this she said she want to fuckin die... look at my hair and face.

I ignored it once and when I woke up, someone had been killed. I'll never forgive myself. Don't let that be on your conscious, they don't have to know who called. Just know that if you ignore someone screaming, anything can happen. I'm not a bad person but I just didn't think about getting involved.

Sorry to say this but I would mind my business. More than likely she won't leave, she will come right back if she does and couples argue and fight all the time.

I'm glad the police came ... but she more than likely wont press charges . It's unfortunate but true that most women are more ashamed than scared .

I used to think that too. When I lived in NY my upstairs neighbors fought all the time. It was mostly arguing and yelling. One day it got serious and the guy keep throwing the woman around and they had a child with them watching the whole thing. He was screaming for them to stop. It was heartbreaking and awful. I called the cops they came and took him away. Funny enough that was the end of him. She kicked him out and didn't take him back. So to say ''oh she is just gonna take him back'' or she is gonna go running back doesn't mean that we shouldn't do the right thing. If I had not called the cops and the guy badly injured or killed her I would feel guilty over it till the day I died.

I am not trying to be harsh towards the situation, but me being a New Yorker and this being the "cold" city that it is your already programmed to take care of yourself/survival of the fittest. Im pretty sure you've all heard stories about "the neighbor who intervened dies in a domestic violence dispute" and how I see it some day you could be the news. Calling the cops is cool and I am sure you will get points/blessings for your good deed in heaven, but when it comes to people relationships I try not to get involved all the times when I have done so it backfired. But in the same notion it depends on how intense the situation is I know brothers who have died intervening and the couple ended up staying together. She even did the bid with him and all. As I said before couples argue and fight all the time, I know i've had to thump it out a few times but it's never been to the point where OMG he is going to kill me. I wonder what the % is for the amount of woman who return to the home after DV abuse? Love is blind.

You don't have to intervene, call the cops and let them do their jobs. Just do it anonymous. That's what my friend did. Saved her life just in time. Be a silent shero, no need to go in for the physical. That's what the cops are for.

We're not talking about them having an argument, we're talking when you hear them getting a beating.

I'm glad that the police were called. People ignore domestic abuse too much....

Sometimes all a woman needs is that space to leave. And how do we know when is "just" a beating or a she bout to get killed beating- Call the cops every time.
