Dumb sh*t
I know this 29 y.o. BOY. He is sort of a step-relative I guess but he's always in trouble over some dumb sh*t. He just got out of the county about a month or two ago on a trespass and simple assault charge. I want to say they dropped the assault and convicted him on the trespassing. He's never had a job and I dont even think he's ever had an ID.
His father calls me and says he's been arrested again. He got into a fight with a white man and ended up being arrested for assault. Two days later, a cop told him that the victim died and they were upgrading his charges to AGGRAVATED MURDER!!! So his dad is like "RACISM!!!! How are they charging him with that?? You have to set out to kill someone. It should be felonious assault if anything" ...*SSE* He wants me to call my connects and see what I can find out. It wasnt in the system yet but they do have crime maps online that are updated every 2 days. So I look there and find out that there was only one assault--FELONIOUS-- in that area on that day. The only place left to go from there is murder, right?
I call his father and tell him what I found and he still believes it's some bullsh*t. We have a lil 'white man' debate and I tell him that when you are doing WRONG, you set events in motion. You can intend to do one f**ked up thing and it spirals out of control. That's not the white man's fault. My connect get back to me and says that the "aggravated" part stems from one of two reasons: He either set out to kill him, or he was engaged in ANOTHER CRIME that lead to the man's death(cant say I didnt see that coming *rolls eyes*). His dad didnt say much after that. I wanted to tell him to not bother wasting his money on a lawyer either.....a public defender will do just fine.

Girl, his father will probably go to the poor house trying to save this boy. Which is what this boy's problem is to begin with. He did the crime so now he has to do the time.
I know a woman now trying to keep her son off death row for multiple murders he either did or ordered. She thinks it is unfair that they want to take her son's life. I think it is unfair that a lot of people are dead because of her son. He forfeited his life several dead bodies back as far as I'm concerned.

They charged his azz right. And when you are in the commission of a crime and a person dies, the one committing the crime always is responsible for the death. The "felonious assault" was when he was beating the hell outta that man. And that felonious assault lead to a death which, if I were a DA I'd charge him with First Degree Murder. Who's to say that he wasn't INTENDING to beat this man to death once they got to arguing or whatever. He didn't just tap that azz and move on. He really put them paws on em. SMH
