Emotional shoppers raise your hands!
How many ladies are emotional shoppers? Whenever I’m feeling down or just uneasy about something & don’t know to do about it I shop. I recently had a falling out with this guy who is very dear to me and the situation is critical. On top of that, my g-ma when off on me, my bbd is crazy as h3ll and another one of my friends just got engaged! Rather than dwell on everything and how it’s affecting me, I took of early Friday and went to every mall in town. Now since the recession I’ve learned to pick and choose my battles so I do a lot of online shopping/browsing that way I always know what I want to get beforehand so I don’t over spend when I go out. Just wondering if anyone else is the same way???

I buy a ton of books, makeup, and shoes. I have sold most of my shoe collection, it was getting out of hand. I slowed down on the relationship books, because mine is almost always a man. :(

I was once an emotional shopper, but after taking a hard look at all the 'stuff' just sitting around I had to be tough on myself. Now I ask myself , is it a need or a want?
Now I find other activities to soothe the soul (swimmming, jogging, reading).
I use to buy books & magazines now I blew the dust off my library card, you never know who you may meet there or on the way there :)

I too use to be an emotional shopper. I would buy anything and everything. Dishes, clothing, shoes, make up, jewelry (real and costume), you name it I bought it. Then I moved into a smaller place and literally every room was filled to capacity with stuff. I couldn't even set up my bed! Yeah, that was an eye opener.
I found I was just trying to fill a void. I pray and meditate now. I am slowly but surely finding my center. I don't even have to think about whether I NEED something as opposed to WANT it. I know anything I am looking at I more than likely have 2-3 of them. smh

Nope. I hate trying on clothes and i hate taking them back to the store. I dont touch much when in the stores, Ill just walk by and see if something catches my eye. I hate standing in lines and i hate waiting for the sales ppl to go and comeback with my shoes, but not in the size that i want. I hate for them to take jewelry out and shut the case back, and lock it cuz i want to see s.thing else at the same time. If im upset, its definitely not a good time for me to go shopping.

I am... and I am currently trying to reform myself... myself & another BA member are currently on a fast, and shopping is one of the things I gave up for January... I once said, that no matter how down I am, I feel an instant surge of relief the minute i hear the receipt printing... its been kinda rough, but I'm actually doing ok...

**Hands in the air**...I shopped yesterday as soon as I got off work. I felt better, most of the stuff I can justify, but then I was like what in the hell am I going to do with blue and gold shoes!!! smh

I am reformed..I moved from a one bedroom to a three and noticed that I had filled it up..then I knew, I needed to slow down..
I am going to buy some new underwear today after class at The Rack, this will be the ultimate test..I am not even going into the shoe and clothing dept..

i just did it again...on perfume! a friend of mines husband is in the military so she takes me on base with her (no tax)...i got Ed Hardy-hearts and daggers, more Jessica Simpson & the lotion, and the Christian Audgier (?) which smells just like hearts and daggers and Viva La Juicy...the sad thing is I only went to get Armani Code which i didn't even get...i'm making myself take two of them back. then i made a sticky, put it on my mirror that said "spray yourself" cause i don't even use the ones i have...smh
