Human Resources - most companies have a "high potential" (hi-pot) list. A manager/director can only nominate so many people on their staff (usually 3 - 5%). The nominations are annual and are suppose to be strictly confidential. Leaders look at the high potential list first for any openings. Unless you're on the "hi-pot" list, most leaders won't even consider you for promotional opportunities.

Airline Crew Members:: We all don't sleep with flight attendants and pilots. It's not that serious. This industry is tough to get in so when you're in, you're in. Its almost like a secret society.

Cosmetic Companies will sell the same product with a different label. Estee Lauder owns many of the top brands in makeup and even though it may have dif. description or suggest it serves a different purpose, many of these mascaras and lipsticks are just a general product poured into a beautiful packaging and sold for $$$ amount of money. So sad.

I was in HR/personnel then compensation. Corporate life is b*******, and being on that end just helps your company keep people oppressed so the big wigs can have all of the money and the perks. I'm looking to do something new and have a degree in 4 years by my next milestone birthday. I'm honestly thinking about entering academia and riding it out until retirement.

so the ladders.com actually works? What type of positions are on there? I know you have to pay for membership.

about Estee Lauder: i thought this was common knowledge. But then ive been involved in the beauty business for years.

Girl, you wouldn't believe the Lysol bombing that I do in hotel rooms.  I'm borderline obsessive lol.  

- I work in marketing for a large sports company...I wouldn't say there are any "secrets" but it's everything that you would expect.  Athletes sleeping around with everyone, crazy and ridiculous requests on riders (someone seriously asked for a stripper once), hookups that are 'on the low' (like Jennifer from BBW and Amar'e), invites to 'girl power' parties from Lala- list keeps going.  I detest the corporate life but the perks are one of a kind.

some ppl might know this, but the vast majority don't. if u dont have a Nielsen Box attached to your TV, or a PPM device attached to your hip, your tv/radio viewership is NOT being recording nor does it count as a rating.

it's funny when people refuse to watch a show because they don't want to give them any ratings...it doesnt matter WHAT you watch if you don't have a nielsen box tracking it. the sample size of people who actually DO count as far as tv/radio ratings is sooo small, its almost innaccurate.
