I don't see why yall are being so nice to LB. I could be wrong but I think this man lives with her, he's driving her car, spending her money, eating her food, feeling her heat and ac. 'Taking care' of a man from a woman's perspective means taking care of them, totally. I don't know if the disclaimer of finally being courageous enough to finally post done put yall on ur best behavior, but yall know this is some BS. Now yall also know that a man that has ALLOWED a WOMAN to 'take care' of him is not a PROVIDER and probably will never be! Yall know a man that is a provider will NEVER allow a woman to take care of him. This man has NO baller potential and if he gets money it will be for HIM and not for THEM because that is his make up. She is used to taking care of men so of course she does not know what she deserves because she does not know her VALUE. She only, and by her own words, know how her friends are beig treated and what they get. By her own admission she is looking over a fence saying 'I want that too'! SHE does not even know what she wants. She has to see YOU with it before she comes up wit the bright idea that she should have it too. Lol, WTF!!!! Leave this man alone, spend six months or more WITH YOURSELF and try to find your self worth. You need to determine your value before u can put it on the shelf for sale. Right now you are on the shelf with a sign that reads 'love or best offer' lol and you need to realize that. After you determine your worth, NEVER EVER EVER settle for taking care of a grown ass able bodied man again. Unless, u LIKE selling YOURSELF short.

Honestly you're 100% right. I live with him rent free but do everything else. I'm not proud to say it but the truth is I'm a punk and I wouldn't even know HOW to get what I want. You're advice is what I've been telling myself to do for the longest but have just been too afraid to take that step...it's about that time though...THANKS

If you live with him rent free I hope you're stashing your cash. Even if you're 'taking care of him' there is nothing wrong with you wanting to be treated like a princess now and then.

Rent free and you doing everything else balances out, but he's your man and should take the initiative to 'make you feel special'. But after 4yrs of your silent acceptance it's gonna be hard. Don't look at your friends relationships, are they living rent free? Have their relationships lasted as long as yours?
