First date in a while
I went on a date this evening with a guy I really like. Actually it wasn't a date. It's a client. I went to his house to give him a massage and stayed and chilled with him for a while. He's not a baller (he's a firefighter). All the ballers I meet are hella weird. Anyway I haven't had sex but 2x in 3 years. Both times was horrible and both are documented here. When he asked for a kiss I told him no because I was laying on his bed and didn't want it to lead to anything without a proper date. He respected my wishes and we went on talking. A few minutes later we were watching the SVU marathon when a mentally disabled woman burst in the room (on tv) and I started laughing. I wasn't laughing at her I was laughing at the looks on the faces of the people in the room. Any way he asked me if I found mentally challenged people funny. I said no and chukled as I tryied to explain. But then he turned off the tv, picked up my table and said he had to go. Which may have been true but I feel like I was kicked out. He gave me a hug and said we could hang out again. But I have a feeling I did something wrong. What do you think?

What were you tryna explain? What exactly did you mean mentally disabled? I know there are several types of diagnoses?

I was trying to explain what I was laughing at. And I don't know her diagnoses. It was a crazy woman on tv. What difference does it make?

Maybe he works with or has a family member who is mentally disabled and even though you tried to explain why you laughed he still took it personally, & since you chuckled while you were explaining he may have thought your explanation was just to get you out the hot seat.

It doesn't make a difference. I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you dodged a bullet. Are you sure it was chuckle? Maybe it was something else. Why didn't you find out for sure?

Yea, I think he is sensitive too and probably has a person close to him that is mentally challenged too. I have a challenged person in my family, and we are all soooo protective over him. Lol, we have fought his neighbors for him, and come to find out he was wrong, but all we knew is he was pissed off and said they did some wrong. lol. LMAO at the memory of that ish. Anyway, I would be cool for like two days, then "hope you have a good day" text him in the morning, so he'll have time to make contact with you, if he wants. If he doesn't respond, i'd cool off for a few weeks, and maybe call him to "check on him" if you still thinking about dude.

You went to your 'client's' house, after you finished your service call you get paid and you leave. No staying after and chilling. You're a business woman and should keep it professional. Your business will grow by word of mouth and referrals and you can't conduct business like this or you'll be on here bawling that you're chucking it all because 'you can't get clients'.
If your client likes you (and you've established a business relationship after a few visits) do it properly and set up a date outside his home. Forget what was on TV, that had nothing to do with it.
