Is this guy comin over her house? I wouldn't hve no guy come thru after a week of knowin him.. U never know about people these days.. And I wouldn't go out my way to cook for some guy for a first date.. I dunno I'm just the kinda person that if u wanna do the whole date thing u gotta treat me out not me treating u in ..and another thing what if this guy turns into some werido its not like she can just pick up and leave

Yes he is coming to her house...she says that they have mutual friends on facebook. So she knows people that know him...still I don't know about that.

Hmmm..I'm mixed about this one..hell, we ARE in a recession and your friend was goin on about her cooking skills, so what did yall expect homeboy to say? "Nah baby, DON'T cook for me"?? Lol..

If your friend likes it, I love it..although I wouldve waited at least a couple of dates before cooking for him (translation - homie woulda had to take me out 1st..lol).

Im sorry but a home cooked meal is an exclusive privilege! Most men on death row want a home cooked dinner for their last meal (lol, says the surveys on Family Feud!)! So what did Mr. Man do to earn that meal?

But seriously, isn't the home cooked mean meant to seal the deal with your steady beau?

Mutal friends on face book isn't good enuff.. I don't trust this guy. Make sure she txts u every 30 mins to let u kno she's alright. I'm sure this guy is thinking "hellz yea I'm gettin a home cooked meal and some ass! How did I get so lucky"

she dont know him enough to be cooking dinner in her house for him and kitchens lead to bedrooms!
maybe after a few dates but not a first one ......shittttttttt slaving over the cooker like some stepford wife for a 1st date!

I wouldn't. 1-wouldn't want him to get used to all that waiting on him hand&foot shit too soon. negative. 2-never been the type of female to treat a man FIRST. call it old fashioned, trickin, wuTeV.

&3- i can't cook. somehow i find a way to fuck up even Oodles&Noodles. LoL but thats just me...

but if she's that type of girl who doesn't mind, i say go for it. it's unique. just make sure she doesnt make a habit of it.

Hell no!!! That's just his way of getting out of paying for dinner. Make sure his a$$ stops by the store to buy the food if one decides to do so. I be damned if I buy the food and cook it too! He would be getting the royal treatment way too soon. If he just wants to see if she can cook, offer his a$$ some leftovers. Also, she is gonna cook an extravagant dinner? I would tell her not to set the bar too high cause he will expect this kind of dinner all the time. And I know she don't cook extravagant meals all the time. Sometimes you're just not in the mood. And once you fix him campbells chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, he's gonna have a fit cause he's gonna expect a meal. If she's doing it to impress him, remember...men are easily impressed. A regular meal (in a man's eyes) is the same as an extravagant one. They don't know the difference, especially if he doesn't cook.

Sounds shady. Cooking on the first date is only setting the precedent for the future. I think it would be way cooler if he bought the groceries and HELPED her cook dinner, or they could go to a cooking class together as a first date. She might be able to snag him like that, but she will be taking care of him all the time. I don't know, some women like doing that. If that's the case, then that's cool, but I like to be taken care of too. The fact that they have only known each other for a week and met on Facebook translates to a definite NO in my mind. She needs to know him, and know him well before inviting him to her house. What if he turns out to be crazy?
