Thanks yall for all the encouragement and advice. I will for sure check out the gel seats because I heard that cycling is an awesome workout.
@ Baller Alert Thats great you have lost so much weight. I cannot believe I allowed myself to get as big as I have gotten. I didn't even realize it, I guess that's what happens sometimes when you get booed up. I'm too young and I have to get my body right!
@ MS UCAN. I grew up with always eating whole grains, brown, rice, etc. I never fry anything (but I do eat fried foods on occasion when I'm out) I only drink water and I don't eat gravy (execpt on holidays). My number 1 problem is snacking and cravings. I love carbs and dairy, I can eat a grilled cheese, queso and chips, nachos, pasta, and pizza everyday, I crave these foods. I'm doing better and eating healthy all week and allowing myself to have a treat day on Saturday or Sunday. This really has worked for me.

You are doing excellent. So far I have lost 50 pounds.. I want to lose 15 more. I went from a size 16 to an 8-10. I want to be a size six. It's hard work and it has taken me almost a year to get this far. I have my moments were i cheat but i eat 80% healthy now. It was a huge lifestyle change for me.
I sign up for every exercise class on groupon and I do classes in my building (bootcamp, zumba, and kettlebell) I also lift weights, walk/jog, and bicycle. S*** gets frustrating because it comes off so slow but i look like a totally different person. I feel better too...
Keep it up!
Bonita said:Gurl you are doing good and because you are doing it the right way it won't come back on. Keep it up!
DdoubleD said:I just recently lost 15 lbs over 8 weeks which is not great, but better than nothing. I was in a biggest loser challenge with my co workers. Whoever lost the most weight over 8 weeks won $320. I was the winner, but I still have 25 more lbs to use.
I am currently using weight watchers. I also joined a meal exchange with another couple. I cook 8 meals for their household on Sunday and 8 meals for my household on Sunday. We then swap meals and I have 16 low calorie and low fat meals for my boyfriend and I eat, so there is no cooking and wondering what we are gonna eat during the week. This has helped us cut back on eating out!
I workout at least 5 times a week. My favorite classes are turbo kick and zumba. I make sure I get at least 1 strength class in a week. When I can’t make it to the gym, I turn on some music and do a quick 20 min work (10 push ups, 5 burpies (sp), 10 Squats, 10 sit ups, and repeat for the 20 mins). I really wanna try cycling classes but the seat hurts my but soooo much.
Does anyone take any supplements that really work like sensa??
Permalink Reply by Baller Alert on June 17, 2012 at 9:38am I wouldn't recommend to skip the snack aisle. The 100 calorie snack packs are your friend and they will give you just enough to kill that craving. Don't eat more than two a day. lol

I actually have one for sale brand new sealed in the box if anyone is interested.

It was very intense at first! At the time that I was using it according to its instructions, it was only every day for a month but I didn't see much change. But I also had a little more fat on me than I do now and now I definitely see a change.
I want to try Insanity too. I saw an infomercial for it the other day and almost ordered. I'm not extremely patient when it comes to weight loss so the one month vs three for P90X piqued my interest.
Love is a Losing Game said:Did the p90x work?? I want to try that and Insanity. I am also thinking about the water zumba.
BlkButtafly said:I love P90X...for what it's worth lol. I attempted to do the whole thing sometime ago and made it like a month into it. But now I mostly do the yoga x, ab ripper, and x stretch.
Ladies, what is a good brand of juicer to buy? I know many people that swear by Jack Lalaine. But I was wondering if there are any others.
I'm getting a little better with my water intake daily. I also play basketball with a guy friend of mine every Saturday morning or Sunday morning. I've also been attempting to get up at 4am in the morning to get a good hour workout (cardio and leg exercises) in before work. I feel EXHILARATED when I work out in the morning. The getting up off of my comfy bed is the hard part though lol.
I'm also starting a supplement regimen probably on Sunday or Monday too. I researched vitamins/supplements that are beneficial for hair growth, asthma problems, menstrual period cramps, and hair/skin/nails. Those are the only things that I'm concentrating on for now.
SoLuscious said:im not on any specific diet but have been trying to eat more veggies and do more cardio. one new veggie i started eating is seaweed...not as bad as i orginally thought it would be, and wheat grass shots. Now that is horrible! have to chase it with some apple juice. A friend has the p90x dvds, so i burned a copy of the abs and cardio and have been doing that. when i tell people i started doing p90x people are looking at me like im nuts, because im already a size 3. But im not doing the entire system, just the ab workout and the cardio/yoga. its fantastic.
Permalink Reply by Ms. Ashley Banks on June 18, 2012 at 1:45am I love it, we had Jack Lalane juicers for years and while I miss having more than one speed, my juicer doesn't have a chute to clean, it all stays in the top around the "spinner thingy" so you can scoop it out, and there's a brush for cleaning it. I still use some Jack Lalane recipes, he has a lot of good stuff.
BlkButtafly said:
I've never heard of that one. But I like the name lol. Thank you I'll look into it.
Ms. Ashley Banks said:I have a Breville Juice Fountain Compact, it's a very basic model with one speed (uses the centrifuge) but I love it. It's easy to clean and gets a lot of juice. I'd like a masticating juicer, but never set the money aside for it. I found mine on a department store website for $99 about 3 years ago, and it still runs great.
