I absolutely agree with this...and the genocide started with them importing the drugs into our communities. The design of public housing & public assistance. The systematic way that they have been incarcerating our men the whole set up of the prison industrial complex and well hell all the s*** started when they brought us over stripped us of our culture, religion, and language. I could go on and on and on.

Are public schools part of the genocide?

I'm am a black woman! lol Let me get that out the way.

That said, I flip flop on this issue a lot. On the one hand I see and know first hand the role prejudice, racism, and the ethnic marginalization of those of African decent has played in the USA. I also know the role we play in our own destruction. So because I can't decide who is the bigger devil in MY GENERATION, I just split the blame 50/50 between those who discriminate against us and our own selves. 

Previous generations, I blame our missteps squarely on those who discriminated against us.

its basically saying that from the outside it appears that black people are destroying ourselves, but those in the know (balck people) better... see Siren's response for more detail...

Do you think that our generation would have ended up this way had they not done all they could to further separate us especially after the civil rights movement?

dpends on where you live... there are some public school systems where their students leave well prepared regardless of race... where as in other places public schools are glorified babysitters
