For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
Hey to all my Vixens...
Lets talk about MAINTENANCE! Are you a high maintenance woman? Of COURSE you are!
Besides getting your hair perfect, weave tight and right- whats your favorite brand? (remi of course) and style?
Whats your favorite style of make-up and type? Mac? Smokey eye? Cat Eye? Natural? Depends...
And what do you WEAR!? OMG this is the biggest for me... what do you were to the game... to the club... on a first date, to a charity event? pencil skirt? corsets? sundress, or maxi? whats ok and not ok?
Share Share Share!! What else do you do to get Baller ready?
Personally for me, I HATE body hair, and I happen to be a naturally hairy person, so I go through hours of shaving, waxing and creams.. I'm going to just laser the shyt off soon.
Any who, what's your regimen, challenges, beauty beliefs?
Love ya vixens ;-)

Hi girly! I am high maintenance too. It takes me foreverrrrrrr to get dressed for anything. I am such a pumps/ heels girls, and somethimes have to remember to tell myself to tone it down when I am going somewhere, however it is almost always a dress/ skirt that I am wearing. I am a MAC queen, however it was the first counter makeup that I was introduced to when I was a teen, and I am thinking about Bobbi Brown. Regarding my hair, I wear some of everything. I like Brazilian, but prefer Malaysian because realistically my hair is not wavy and blending is a bih! lol. If u do try lazer, please keep me informed, I am considering it, as I am a hairy mofo too, and get tired of nairing/ waxing all of the time >_< Also I am a feet person, my feet just HAVE to be done all of the time! lol. They are looking a little off today, but being a teacher, I can slide, however as soon as Ms. G leaves the building and M comes out, I am going to get these little puppies taken care of! lol

I personally don't like to wear colorful eyeshadows but I always line my waterline with a black pencil. Sephora and Macy's/Nordstom are good stores to start your make-up search because you can get samples to take home before you buy. I've found that I liked a type of foundation and then after 2 years it doesn't work for my skin type anymore.
As for hair, I like to pull my hair back because I like my bone structure. I don't like loud jewelry. I try to dress for the occasion. I never wear high heels to games.
I always keep perfume in my purse.
You just have to work with what makes you look good and play on that.

I guess this is LA b/c I would never show up to a game without high heels. But I know every city is different. The shoe game is serious business and there are not that many cute ones less than 5 inches.
Clothes depends on the occasion. For games I usually wear jeans with a really pretty shirt or a waist lenth jacket with a cute tee or tank. You don't want to look like you are trying too hard. I am also going to games to meet corporate ballers and that is a different look than ball players. Charity events I usually look somewhat conservation(Pencil skirt as tight as you can without looking whore-ish,, but shows ur curves) and a sexy shirt.
Make-up...really depends on the person. If you have natural beauty you want to try to maximize your best features not hide them behind lots of color. I usually don't wear foundation, but I wear blot powder (I have oily skin). When I was young I would find pictures of females with eyes shaped similiar to mine and test the look they had. You can also take the pics to Mac (or whomever) and have them apply it and suggest colors. You only have to buy $50 min of make-up and they will apply it for free.
You know eyebrows frame ur face so u gotta get ur game up on those. Keep practicing or go to a shop and have them shaped.

Permalink Reply by Lady on August 17, 2012 at 5:23pm MY NAILS AND TOES AND EYEBROWS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE DONE.. EYEBROWS ARE MOST IMPORTANT BECAUSE JUST HAVING THEM DONE CHANGES YOUR FACE IN A GOOD WAY.. MY VAGINA ALWAYS HAS TO BE BOLD.. AND I MAKE SURE TO NEVER OVERDRESS, CUZ THAT S*** BE HAVING FEMALES LOOKING THIRSTY AND DESPERATE. I AM A NATURAL BEAUTY SO I DONT WEAR ANY MAKE UP, AND MY HAIR IS ALWAYS STRAIGHT
Permalink Reply by PeachSoda_ on August 17, 2012 at 9:32pm I used to be SO high maintenance when i was my own boss.. It would take me at least 2 hours to get ready for my day. I wouldn't dare even go to the mailbox without my eyelashes on and in place!! I was a make-up fanatic! i would plan my makeup look before i went to bed and when i pressed the first snooze button i would close my eyes and invision the steps it would take to complete the task and how fye it would be!!! lol
But now!! i am completely minimalist... its more professional. i'm trying to get into wearing face makeup like foundation and concealer n bronzer n s***.. at most i'll do a smokey eye with my brows always done. no more constant eyelashes. they were f***** up my real ones! lol My nails are done every week. my feet every 3. My hair.. i just wash and press.. sometimes i'll wash and go natural.. on occasions i may have a few tracks sewn in if i feel like getting jazzy!!
Permalink Reply by livelife25 on August 17, 2012 at 10:26pm I'm pretty low key. Don't wear a weave, my hair is relaxed though. I curl it and shake it out sometimes when I'm going out, but for the most part I wear it down or pulled back in a bun. I don't do a ton with make up, I prefer eye makeup and some gloss. Clotheswise/shoewise I tend to wear heels a lot because I'm very short. I'm a big denim and cute top girl, I like shirts that are modest in front and have interesting backs.
Permalink Reply by glamazon on September 8, 2012 at 5:29pm I wear my own hair, curly & down, but all Summer I've subscribed to the bun life.
My favorite makeup style is matte natural & alluring. For a game, tinted moisturizer maybe foundation (if I'm going out afterwards), add bronzer and neutral eyes with definition (mascara & liner) and my lips. More times than not, no heels. I love smokey eye for night life, and I always can just add that.
I wear jeans and tanks or tops to games. I very rarely wear a dress to a game, although I have before - winter game. It's just hard to sit, and get into the game with it on esp with my long legs and how low the seats are. To the club, I usually wear a dress, but it all depends on the kind of night - if it's after the game then I'll be going in jeans. IMO what's "okay" is whatever looks great on you, and makes you feel good. Funnily enough, I find that most my ballers and baller friends compliment me most when I have little to no makeup on. My baller's best game memory to him is the one I think I looked blah - unprepared for. I was late, threw on a loose black dress, gold jewelry, tinted moisturizer, put eyeliner and mascara in the car and went. If you listen to him describe my hair, my "glow" with him being able to see my skin through the semi sheer top of the dress from the court, you'd think I was on a red carpet. I think it makes you stand out in an understatedly beautiful way, like damn she didn't even have to do much and she's still gorgeous - coz most women court side or around the bench are dressed to the 9s.
