I have a weave and I've been swimming every other week this summer (not for exercise) its just hot as hell in Texas right now lol I really just put my leave out and the weave in a braid and dive in just to keep it from tangling. When I'm done swimming I get in the shower, rinse my hair with warm water, lift each "track" so the water actually reaches my scalp and hair underneath, take a squeeze bottle with a sulfate free shampoo diluted with water and squeeze it between each track the. I use my fingers to scrub/massage my scalp so there's no chlorine left behind to irritate me and then I rinse again. I squirt shampoo (not diluted) into my hand and work that through the weave hair to strip the chlorine and then I follow up with a deep conditioner on both my leave out and the weave to restore the moisture and then do a final rinse with warm water. It sounds like a lot but it's really quick lol

I just don't want to damage my real hair. I think Im going to give this weave a break because its too damn hot right now.

Boss, when you work out, pull your hair up as much as you can. Or put it in a braid (or two) like DB. I used to work out with full sew-ins and a stylist told me to not let the hair get saturated with sweat at the ends when I'm working out.

 

And now I'm working out with a press, so I'm trying to follow that same advice.
