alright..off to the pool i go with my girls...they pointed to a map and we flew there for fathers day.

you all are cool but really have no f***** clue what it takes to be a dad. be peaceful

You have a great day too!!!! You are right we don't, buuuuut because pops was not around for some of us we're dealing with the fallout now. Enjoy your day.

buuuuut because your butt hurt you decide to do it on fathers day. Lets do this then...from now on i'll make it my duty to slander my daughters mom on mother's day.  I'll be so bitter and butt-hurt that i'll do a HAPPY BECAUSE SHE FELT LIKE PARTYING AND NOT BEING A MOTHERS DAY, or possibly be so immature that i'' congratulate all my male friends happy mothers day, while their kids stay with their mothers. See how backwards that s*** is

I agree with this and i am single Mother by force. My job is double, but I can NEVER be a Daddy/Father. I AM A MOTHER.

When you say things like that it devalues the role of a man in a child's life. Even if a man is a dead beat dad you don't devalue the role of  the father by saying i am both your mother and father.  That gives kids the idea that fathers are nice but they are not needed  because mom can do both jobs.

i guess i can say this because i have a dad and always have but father's day has really turned out to be one passive-aggressive, bitter, shithole holiday on social media. i know my share of deadbeat fathers but i know quite a few moms who are plenty worthless. a mom while she may be doing the work of a mom, dad and the rest of the village can only be a mom.

you don't need to apologize. you said what you felt. no one gets as hyped abt father's day as we do mother's day anyway. thinking back on the crappy stuff i gave my parents as a youngster, parents don't really get anything material out of these holidays until a kid gets a job. then you spend every year trying to give them more. its all about guilt, money and how much you need to make up for them bringing you into the world and not strangling you. LOL!

i also dont think u need to apologize brii....i get that a father does not want his role to be devauled but to me my mother did act as both...when my parents got divorced my father moved on...consequently there were things a father should have taught, counseled, and comforted me with that were not done because he wasnt around...so my mother had to do the best she could to fill that void...and i get it a mother cannot replace a father just like a father cannot replace a mother but for the ones that have had to fill the role as best they could and did a damn good job at it i do feel they deserve acknowledgement ......
