Having a Baby Is the New Marriage

  • Rating: No Rating
I was just reading the comments about LaLa and Carmelo and everyone has something to say about them not being married yet. I can't lie, I gave it the SSE too since they been engaged since 1996 ;) Anyway, I think that more women these days are accepting being the baby mama's of these ballers. Y'all see Tiny didn't get no paper til TI was one foot in jail. LeBron's BM not gettin a paper either. I'm just saying....thoughts?

This isn't new. There is just more media coverage. In some cultures, marriage isn't stressed like it is in others.

I personally feel ppl have babies out of wedlock ALL THE DAMN time they just happen to be Famous. And to be an engaged i would be engaged for years cause marriage SCARES the SHIT OUT OF ME!!! As for these guys you have to remember they are young. And honestly i wouldnt be suprised if Bron & Vannah were already married. He truly loves her. I have meet them together n truly sweet couple. As for Lala's ass she hit the jackpot with Melo's yung ass. & he is still playing around and his jumpoff has a NICE condo in Denver so. If they are happy and i am happy.

I couldn't stand for it. I'm scared as hell of children so I'm not having a baby with a baller without having everything. @Tab...I know it's not "new" but the wording was directed more towards the brand new attitude ppl had a bout LaLa and Melo....

I know what you are saying. That's why I said it's just that the media is covering their moves. Now days it seems like a lot of fuckery, but the same fuckery has been going on for decades. It's just we have more access to people business. Go to a news paper achieve dated 1975 and you would swear you were reading a Daily News from 2009. Same headlines and stories. Nothing much has changed except how things are covered. We didn't have a voice 10 yrs ago, now with the internet,Myspace,Facebook and Twitter it's in your face all the time. Farrah and David Letterman are perfect examples this isn't new. I don't know why people are so hard on LaLa, and Tiny when they clearly are not the only ones not married with kids. You don't hear this much grief about Halle and Gab. I wonder is it a color thing? Or just the type of men Tiny and LaLa have.

They have been engaged since 2004, not 1996. And guess what Brad & Angelina aren't married either! And they have like 7 kids!

Brad is baby daddy & angelina is baby momma!

Children out of wedlock go back to Biblical times, as well as shacking. You can flip through the Bible, the Torah, the Quran, and so on and so on, the protection of a family and a woman through marriage has been covered. I can't see myself doing it. I hate the negative press that is given to black celebrities, because plenty of white folks have been doing it. My favorite example, Isla Fischer and Sascha Baron Cohen, I will knock that b!tch down to get next to SBC, but she had the baby first (and converted to Judaism). I would have been on Torah reading, gelfite fish eatin' Negro to marry that man... In that case, having a baby and CONVERTING to his religion got her foot in the door, let's see if he actually wifes her.....

These pre-nuptial agreements are so damn air tight. Dropping the baby seals the deal basically. Sad but true..lol

Is that Norwood looking like an HBCU band member? (no shade to HBCU alums) Rhianna's dress is interesting and so Is Keri's face (not in a bad way...I don't think) Mary J looks good (Loves her) Drake reminds me of Droopy from Tom & Jerry (but th...

Her face kills me. She was so pretty before, I swear their surgeon is handing out deep family discounts. It pains me to see young, beautiful women going under the knife, they're ruining their looks. I can't even focus on the body for the hatcheted...

I'm not big on Tyler Perry's work, but I did look at this as being different from his other productions. The ending alone is what stands out. Typical TP movies have a very happy ending, this one was "Good enough" to me.

I enjoyed the movie, I read the book first so I prepared in a sense for what I was about to see. I felt the movie was way more Mild than what the book offered, but still did a good job of capturing the meaning of the book. Gabby and Monique were g...

Oh, the scene where she brings Abdul home almost did me in. And yes, I was amazed at them without makeup. Okay, I loved the "fantasy" moments where she was with her light-skinned boyfriend with good hair. And I CRACKED UP when they had a puppy in...

I watched the AMAs last night and saw J Lo performing this song live, and well, *sigh* I really hope she sticks to acting. GREAT actress, sucky singer.

Thanks for all the suggestion. She invited me over Friday to see what she had done so far and when I finally got there, she warmed the food up in the oven. Long story short, I got her a stainless steel microwave.
