Help in choosing a book!!!!

If your already in a relationship I wouldn't read Steve Harvey's book unless you want drama. Before the book came out I was listening to Harvey on the radio and he mentioned a scenario from his book and it dawned on me! I immediately called my hubby spazing asking him if he ever did some shit like that...we fought for like a whole week straight because of that damn book! A friend of mine also had to stop reading the book because she actually began to despise men lol. Her excuse was she was not going to feed into the negativity because "all" men aren't like this.

@keyto life no I just got out of a bad relationship.. Long story.. Need somethin to refresh/ enlighten me .. Help me not make the same mistakes again

When you're reading anything (book, paper, internet) you always read with an open mind. Those are just other people's thoughts, ideas, and/or experiences they share with us. You have to always trust your own gut instincts when you need to make a decision.

I've read both & Why Men Marry Bitches...I would say that Steve Harvey's book seems to be more for women who are divorced and/or have kids. I couldn't really relate to it. I related more with Why Men Love Bitches because it seemed more for my age and career group. The "cosmo crowd" I guess you could call it. As for the playing dumb part, it's more of playing dumb in an intellectual way, for example, "So...[dramatic pause]...do you always leave your previously worn underwear underneath the coffee table on a daily basis??? Interesting..." lol

I feel like there aren't a lot of dating advice books for educated, young professional Black women. But in general, the quality of "urban reading" isn't up to par. I'm going to go check out Hill Harper's book though. I've read good things about it.
