Exactly! When you smile at ish like this and it's not documented she'll do something worse and when you try to bring this up they'll ask why you never reported it before.

I would have dropped her on spot back in my 20's! lol

Report her to HR or your Office Manager asap.

  I went to personnel and not only was she written up she was suspended without pay... Oh she did apologize though apparently I took it out of context (BS)

pends...if you're in a union you take it to your union rep first because if you take it to management then all hells gonna break loose.

Omission to act & simply blowing it off gives people like this encouragement to do this mess time and time again. Schit would have been documented by both me & the patient.

I would have checked old girl and would have insisted that she apologized to the patient and called a 3rd party employee into the situation to serve as a witness so there would be ABSOLUTELY NO she said she said mess going on...

Physically check her for her verbal bullschit and racists ways will only catch you a case and possible termination. Check her by affecting her paycheck... she may feel the same way about what she said, but she damn sure won't be saying it a loud & at work again!

Good idea, also show your concern by making sure the patient is apoligized (sp) to or they can bring a lawsuit. They can take it public and cause a fuss.
