My daughter was enrolled in this daycare and last week I was told that the daycare would be shutting down. Not explanation, last night I see this on the news! I am not sure how I should feel. This child had to be in my daughter's class and I am so angered by the fact that he was violated. I spoke to my daughter last night about inappropriate touching and she told me that daddy said he, me, Poppa, Grandma, and all her godparents would always protect her. I feel better that he has already spoken to her. But I am so heartbroken for this child and his family. Please keep them in your prayers!

Her 3-year-old son attended the Zion Baptist church daycare center on Kenilworth. She says the daycare coordinator called her last week to tell her what she said she saw a male employee doing to the 3-year-old boy.

"She said she caught him on top of my son with his pants down," the mother says.

That notification was two days after the alleged sexual abuse. The mother says she asked the coordinator why didn't she immediately call police.

"She said at the time she had never had anything like this happen and she didn't know what to do," the mother says.

The police report shows a third day passed before the facility called 911. The police report detailed sexual abuse the coordinator claimed she saw.

At the church Wednesday, the daycare center was closed.

Some parents hadn’t heard of the incident and were told the center was closed because of a licensing issue.

Oh hell! I don't even know what to say to you two. Just hug your little ones and be thankful it didn't happen to them. smh This is so sickening. A three year old? Seriously? I want to punch this bastard in the throat several times.

I don't understand...

If I see someone on top of a child with his pants down, I wouldn't be able to get to a phone and dial 911 fast enough. Or go and get the child out of danger...I woud IMMEDIATELY DO SOMETHING.

These people kill me saying "I didn't know what to do!"

Poor baby :(

Clearly people get shot over lesser offenses...

So did she watch it happen? Did she tell the guy to get off the little boy?

Did she help or just let it happen?

This is just so sickening. What is the hiring process in these day cares? I guess fingerprinting is not enough, they should incorporate some kind of psychiatric evaluations because this crap is getting out of control.

The woman should be in jail as well how you wait 3 days to report that crime. This is why day care is not good because anyone can get a job at them

What the f*** she mean she didn't know what to do??????????? She must be related to the predator & waited hoping evidence would be washed away!!!!!!!! What the f***!!!!! Praying for you ladies involved... Let us know if we need to raise bail money.

I've always thought males working in day care centers were suspect anyways... SMH

I have never seen any male teachers there, but they do have two males who clean the church and do maintenance. I scheduled my daughter an appt with my therapist because I am going to jail if I find out anything has happened to her. I am so upset that I cannot focus at work. But if I go home I am going to start crying again. I loved all those kids! When I would come into the class room they would all hug me and my daughter. Help her take her coat off and usher her off for breakfast. I am so confused. Where was his teacher? They have two teachers to a class, so how were both of them out of the room at once. Why wasn't it reported immediately? And how come he has not been arrested yet? Why did I have to find out about it on the f****** news? I have been calling them because I want to pick up my daughter’s clothes, blanket, and I want some answers!

I am so sorry you are experiencing this. I cannot believe how irresponsible that director was. I work around children and betta not see anyone doing something wrong to a child. That perv needs to be put under the jail and the director needs to be too.
