For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
I'm 22, He's 33...
For two years now I've been dating man who
has treated me really good, we have had such a good connection... So much so that I consider him my best friend. The problem is that I don't want to limit myself from other opportunities and missing out on other guys while being in a long-term relationship with him. Im starting to understand why your twenties are supposed to be all about YOU and I haven't gotten a chance to be single since high school. Another factor is that he has a 7yr old child, no baby mama drama, but he was recently laid off. He's a dreamer with no backup plan and has no intention of going back to school or striving to have more for himself. Ive seen him turn into a man who is content with his status of mediocrity. The only thing that makes him want mOre for himself is because I want it for him. he has said he's based his whole happiness around being with me and just wants me to believe n him but I feel like I'm too young to make those such a big sacrifice and owe myself to someone who isn't going anywhere... But is love enough to stick it out and support his ever-changing ideas for 'our' future?... Or should I be focusing on myself right now? Ever had to let go of someone because of their lack of drive?

Let it go.Your on a while other level. He will get tired of you, and then what?He'll consider you draining and old.Just sayin. Either he'll cheat on you or leave you. The friendship part is good but watch out. Keep your eyes wide open.

Girl NO!! Go live your life you are 22 you're just getting your feet wet and he's 33 so he's pretty much set in his ways.. You can't help those who don't want to be helped or those who aren't trying to help themselves... How does he support his child? How does he support himself?

I'm sorry. I thought you were 33. It's cool if your into older men. Likely at his age he only has 1 child.Like I said the friendship part is cool. But, later he may want a women who has more to offer.

Been here and done this. He got on my damn nerves. And he was only a few years older than me but already satisfied with where he was in life. He even had a kid sans bm drama but. I was not with where I was in life and couldn't see saddling myself with someone who was not interested in doing better. He was ok as far as friendship but he was always broke when I was ready to travel and have fun. In the end I had to leave him so I could have fun without him TRYING to make me feel guilty. He tried. I never did feel guilty. I told y'all I'm selfish. lol

lol I should let one of my friends to read this, he is 33 dating 22. He told me that young girl makes him feel younger and brings the wild days back, he is married though and she is his side piece.
Girl leave him alone, enjoy your life, when I was at your age i was milking 30 smthings and kept it pushing having fun with ppl of my age, not thinking about relationships. You'll have your time, right now you have to explore, learn and build, you don't need to feed your youth to nobody.

Been there done. Kept that old man money and had fun. We both had our selfish motives, made it clear to myself that deserved I deserved better. I had fun, but that's all it was.It's funny because he had alot if suspicion about me and I wasn't even his wifey.That's when I knew to let it go. Trust me those true colors come outta those old men.

Baby I just read this and I mean this with all my love "F****** RUNNNNNNN"....I have been there this is not what you need, you are not ready for a relationship, based on you saying you don not want to miss out on other opportunities. This man has no ambition and at 22 it is not working for you so leave and be FREE and revisit a relationship idea when you are 25-29.

If he has no drive to do better ... How will it work? ... No work .. No money ... how will he care for you? ... most importantly ... how will he provide for a seven year old that depends on him? ...Girl go and live your life ...Focus on you .. have fun.....go on dates with mr right now ... Then Mr. Right will come in time.
