Is it OK for your best friend to call your boyfriend?
Sitting here having a conversation with one of my co-workers and she said she doesn’t know how to feel about her best friend and her boyfriend having conversations with each other without her knowledge. I don’t think the boyfriend and best friend knew each other outside of her (she’s their link, I think). I told her not to worry too much about it, unless her boyfriend has a history of cheating and/or girlfriend has a history of stealing men or being trifling. She found out about it in a general conversation with her boyfriend, he was like yeah, I hit Ashley up yesterday. I don’t know who asked for who’s number or how they exchanged numbers (I’m guessing she didn’t give either one the others' number). Her best friend still hasn’t said anything about ever talking to her boyfriend via phone, text, nor facebook (they’ve spoken via all these methods according to the boyfriend, but it’s just been basic “hey, how you doings”). So ladies and gentlemen would you have a problem with your significant other having secret conversations with your best friend (I had to put it in a messy tone, with the word “secret” LOL).
My answer: I told her to just say in general conversation say, “Yeah, Eric told me you hit him up a couple times to talk is everything ok? what ya’ll talk about?” --- she’ll either say “No he hit me up and we talked about blah, blah, blah” or she’ll act like she doesn’t know what you’re talking about, if she does that then be worried.

I completely agree. one of my girls (now ex) bf used to hit me up on occasion to get advice about their relationship... and of course i would spill the beans like "girl.. y did david hit me up to day etc etc."so for her home girl never to mention it means...... she has an agenda.

One time, an ex of mines called himself talking to my cousin about what we were going through. FTR, that b***h cant hold water. She barely let him get two words out before she was clicking over to call me....lol. Needless to say, they didnt have a second conversation. And I let his azz know then and there, to call his own people.

UMMM, no f#@$%ing way is it ok for anyone of my friends to conversate with my man by phone! I could see facebook since it's a community but you cross a line when it comes to phone-to-phone convo's! I think that is disrespectful on his part especially. The friend that's talking to him by phone, SMH, I don't even know what to say besides she needs to cuss that bytch out for that. No. 1 rule don't trust your man/friends around either/or and vice versa!

HELL NO!!!! There is no reason they need to be having phone, text, or facebook convos........and the fact that she has not mentioned it and that you had to hear it from him is a RED FLAG......somethings not right.....If my friends bf was calling or texting me....I would tell her right away, just to make sure it doesn't look shady. Also that fact that this is going on on a semi-regular basis............HELL NO!!! Something is up!!

I agree that something MAY be up, because he mentioned it and she didnt. Maybe he tried to come on to her, or vice versa - then she threatened to tell so he was throwing something ou tto see if her girl had said anything - then he can say he said something first. If it was a secret, i cant see why he would have said anything, but who knows. It could be something being planned and she keep secrets really well
I talk to my friend BF all the time. Hes taken me to lunch b4 on no shady stuff, i stop by his job to say hi if im passing through. if i want to go to lunch and not by myself and she workin..ill be like come eat with me and he'll say yes or no. For us, its no biggie. he also calls me when its her b-day, etc, because he knows i know what she may want )of course shes already told me what to say when he asks) but its never a secret.
