Are her legs broken? She can't get up and do some work? Pregnancy my foot. MIA went on stage the same night she was due. If she so broke she better crank out a new album, or fix her hair and face and get her a new husband. And $15,000 for entertainment is NOT a necessary expense. That is her choice and her fault. You can buy a used car once a month for that much. Get out of my face... Girl PUH-LEASE!!

SexyCanI, that's the point I was making! Diddy has waaaay more $ than Nas and his BMs don't get that much in child support. They're going to base child support on Nas' income; she may get alimony depending on their pre-nup...

Well the mortgage has to get paid.
And she will definitely need a nanny, since that fool fucked up, and she will now be on her own. As far as the entertainment, and gifts...she will need to cut back or start touring again. But it isnt fair that that is how she been living now they wanna take it from her. But on another note, I wonder if the judge is going for "entertainment, gifts, and vacations" as an expense!

LMAO Well she's the one who filed for divorce. We don't know who f'd up really because I've been hearing stuff about both. But she was working when he met her, and during their marriage, so looks like she will have to continue to do that if she wants that life-style.

I'm surprised at some of the responses on here though. I mean we have to put ourselves in this situation. NAS cheated on Kelis! I mean she probably hates his guts. Now here she is with first child, probably been throwing up, feet aching, nipples sore, back hurting, and some more shit; while nas out there fucking groupies and whores. he should have honored his commitment to her and supported her during this time. I don't think it's farfetched asking for alimony. Especially when it was him that was supporting her. In celebrity money trust me 20k is chump change! that is one fucking day of shopping for these ppl. They bringing in hundreds of thousands dollars just at one concert. Kelis hasn't had an album or even appearances in years. While Nas is steady touring, appearing, interviewing, and still popping up on tracks. Not to mention endorsements (he was doing the FILA thing), and other royalties and residuals. How he going fucking leave his WIFE during PREGNANCY?? If it was any one of us we would only want the same. 80k sounds like a lot to our broke asses but I think we don't realize how much money these ppl really have. Maybe she won't get the whole thing but she deserves a lot.

Actually, before there was even rumors about a divorce coming or before KELIS even filed for divorce, I'd heard a bunch of shit about her, including her doing cocaine...You always saw her and her bff Dania or whatever her name is out partying. I'm not buying all that she is the victim. Her child will be taken care of, and I'm sure Nas will break her off with a some change. But she does NOT deserve anything close to $80 gs a month I don't care how much Nas made. The marriage ain't even last 5 yrs...barely 4...Kelis is a musician and she'll have to continue to make music to support her spending habits. The marriage is over and only one kid was produced, one that hasn't even been born yet. She better make an "I hate you so much right now" part II record...

The paperwork alleges Nas signed an $11 million recording contract with Def Jam and is co-owner of touring company, Gorilla Union. The documents state Nas also pays for five homes, three for the couple in Los Angeles, New York and Georgia, and one for his family in New York and her family in the Dominican Republic. In addition to business ventures and property, the filings suggest Nas owns a number of luxury items, including a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Maybach, a Ferrari and a full-time driver in New York.

According to the filing, the married couple maintained separate bank accounts and filed separate tax returns.

“All of this is adding up and all of the weight is falling on her shoulders, creating extreme emotional stress which I’m sure has affects on her physically since she’s due to give birth any day now,” the source said. “Kelis has spent every last penny that she has to cover whatever expenses for the baby that she can but at this point really needs him to step up and share in the responsibility. She physically can’t work to bring in any sort of income, as much as she’d like to.”

Apparently Kelis has been trying to get in touch with Mr. Jones but he won’t answer. Sad situation for everyone involved really….

sorry but I don’t agree that is some straight bullshit what does being pregnant have to do with anything , I know professional and famous women who were and are pregnant and they get there asses up and work for what they what, there are always two sides to a story if he cheated or she cheated that doesn’t matter what does matter is that baby, yes he should take care of the baby as far as kelis uummm no she can get up get out and get something there is nothing wrong with her but the fact that she has become lazy and dependent on a man if she was smart from the start she would have been stashing some of that cash away for a justin case moment like now, she needs to regroup come out with another album some touring, something but she needs to get off her ass and hustle get back to the old kelis.
