I was going to respond to Offical Groupie but Da_Don summed it up and called the bullshat w/o chaser. First and far most we are talking about ballers here, men (mostly of AA race) in a higher economical income bracket THAN not only other Black men but also the average Caucasian man. It is sad to say but ONLY here in the US women of other RACES are coveted by Afrikan Amerikan men as if the were trophies. If it's about the overhyped "Latin LUSt" / conquest then go play in the Islands, there are a plethora of women of all hues in almost any latin country in the world... Mix chick, latin chicks are a dime a dozen in PR, DR, Columbia (no, not a good idea right now), Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, etc, my point is these men can afford to travel, so if it's really about quenching their lustfull thirst for foreign women then handle your business and take a trip, rather than downgrade women of your race in their own country. That's a decaying attitude and a bad idiology to subscribe to, even if it's just in fun or a transient lifestyle. Damage is being done...This mentality puts a heavy burden on & continues to deteriorate the already fragile Black on Black relationships....

Well I like, no let me correct that, I love dark skinned men... I believe there is nothing wrong with a preference when it comes to dating... The real problem lies not with what people like, but when others think they are better because of hair texture, skin color etc... The thing is physical attributes are not the only reasons people deem themselves better than others... So I don't even know how to conclude... Official Groupie said it best, focus on people that accept all of you just the way it is and for all the potential you possess

The real problem lies not with what people like, but when others think they are better because of hair texture, skin color etc.. This is the main issue right here, they feel empowered to be this way. Why do they fell empowered? I'll leave that to everyone to draw their own conclusions. They seem to forget that there is enough room on that pedastal for ALL WOMEN.

There within lies the root of the discord. Is not about races sticking or dating exclusively within their race or whatever attributes a person desires in a mate. Is the underlying implied and explicit sentiments that comes along with making that/their selection. I see and get that ALL the time. I lived in Miami and I've experienced a different type of treatment when thought of to be AA and a totally opposite approach when I'm deemed as a latina. Facts are facts, many women of other Nationalities (not all, but some) see AA women beneath them, simply because AA men talk about their women...Black women this, Black women that, Latin women treat their men better they are more caring, White women treat men better they are more understanding, Asian women worship the ground their man walks on, blah blah blah...a woman of another race who is not sure of her own identity will take those words and run with it. Before you know it, she'll be thinking she IS in fact better than AA women. When in fact women are women, there are trifflin', nice, naive, good phucks, inventive, loving, easy ass, self respecting, virtuous, intellegent, industrious, weak minded, co-dependent, loving, harmonious, God faring women of all RACES, colors and creed.

Everyone has preferences is part of being human. AA men can make their selection -np. No need to downtalk AA women or pump-up women of other races, that only happens here in America for real - go any place else these bytches are dime a docen, and the better have something going for them or else.... AA men should stop attaching bullshyt comments and excuses to justify their selections and behavior... let it be what it is, take your pick and keep it moving, no need to justify.
