i turned to watch this show the other night and it is so creepy. the moms, the spray tanning, the make up and outfits. completely weird. some of the kids...most of the kids can barely speak in whole sentences yet. and they're being bribed w/money, toys, and sugar. its ridiculous.

People never seem to understand that the pageants are very positive for kids and what you are seeing is totally normal in that world. my 2 nieces are 2 and 6, both of the girls have done pageants since they were 2 weeks old and they love it. I hate to hear people talk so negatively about them because I attend on the regular and its really nice.

they need to be shown the video of that monster dragging that baby to the hotel room in NC last year. why would you dress a child like a prositute and then act like nothings wrong w/that????

Are you saying that what was shown in that video was some how healthy for that little girl?

from the shows i've seen, its another case of parents letting the children make decisions. supposedly, they all claim the children love it and can't wait to do the next one. when you have women and sometimes men spray tanning down little girls w/hair as big a texas and fully made up, parading around a stage half dressed - not exactly sure what this is teaching a child. how can it be good? even if the kid likes it, there comes a time where the parent has to say no this is not appropriate behavior. hell i liked candy and sugary cereal as a child but i didn't get it.

the parents look all deranged and very disconnected from real life. just weirds me out. i am not against pageants i just think that the age those little girls are on toddlers and tiaras is not the right age to be starting.
