WORLD EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL: Oscar winner's Morgan Freeman's decade-long affair with his step - GRANDDAUGHTER, a family insider told The ENQUIRER.
Morgan Freeman has been having a nearly decade-long affair with his step-granddaughter - a scandalous charge that has emerged in the bitter divorce battle between the acclaimed actor and his wife Myrna, says a source.
The relationship between the 72-year-old actor with step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines, 27, began when she was a teen, the source told The ENQUIRER exclusively. The alleged affair not only contributed to his split from Myrna, his wife of 25 years, it also led to his breakup with his longtime mistress, former schoolteacher Mary Joyce Hays.
E'Dena is the granddaughter of Morgan's first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, and was raised by Morgan and Myrna "since she was a little girl," the source told The ENQUIRER.
"Myrna said E'dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend's house one evening. Both had been drinking, and when they returned home, Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse," the source, a close family insider, told The ENQUIRER.
"E'Dena explained to Myrna that she stopped Morgan from going any further."
Myrna confronted Morgan, and he agreed to leave E'Dena alone - but unbeknownst to Myrna, the relationship continued for years, said the source.
E'Dena has also been Morgan's escort to several public events, including last summer's premiere of the blockbuster Bat-flick hit, The Dark Knight.
"Nobody thought anything of it, because she would be introduced as his 'granddaughter.' The family insider divulged.
"It's not technically incest, because they are not related by blood...[but] Morgan is trying desperately to keep his divorce out of open court so all the shameful facts won't become public."

I held him up to such high regard...Lord, I PRAY this is not true....I know we all have things we may be ashamed of in our closet, drank too much or did drugs in our youth, stole some Jolly Ranchers....heck even cheated on an ex with his best friend......something, but THIS s*** right here....unforgiveable if this is true...10 years?! I would NEVER, EVER watch another movie, tv show, or anything he's a part of...and those so called "women" for that matter....she (the grandmother, step-grandmother, whomever) knew there was an attraction as soon as the girl said he attempted to have sex with her after drinking too much at a party......and who the hell allowed her behind to drink at 17.....no grandfather I know gets drunk and thinks of having sex with his granddaughter that he raised since she was practically a baby...oh she's not without blame because like one of the other posters said, what 17 year old allows their 72, 62 year old grandfather to have sex with them and continue to have an on-going affair?? I know I'm ranting, but I'm so beyond disappointed in him...

I saw this a while back and just had to shake my head. This is more common than people think. I'd NEVER date any man my mother dated, and she's dated someone closer to my age. To me, that is incest. When you marry a person with children, you are in a role of being a parental figure, not a friend, not a homie, not a potential lover. I, like many of you, hope this isn't true. The Allen/Yi mess was enough of an embarrassment, why do this to yourself and your family?

I agree it happens more often that we would care to admit or think. But I have to SMDH at some women who don't believe the kids when they speak up. The actually accuse the kids of wanting their man, when all the kids want is the perv out the god damn house.
Myrna confronted Morgan, and he agreed to leave E'Dena alone she shoulda dumped his ass right there & then, how you gonna tell the rat not to touch the cheese but the cheese is still there within reach. The child was still there with them.

Thank you! I had a stepfather get a little juiced up one day and hinted at trying something, in my heart of hearts now as an adult, and even then as a teen, I don't believe he would have done anything. He was drinking heavily and sneaking prescription drugs. It hurt me to tell my mother what happened, because she was hurt and we gave up our very comfortable lifestyle when they split up. I've apologized to both of them repeatedly, he's still a big part of my life, and my mother said I wasn't wrong, he has apolgized for what he did, and my mother believed the drugs got the best of him. She also knew that she didn't want anything to happen to me, so that weekend we moved in with some family and they went to counseling (she was going for him, turns out he had many demons he was trying to run from). A man under great stress HINTED at touching me, and my unemployed single mother (stay at home mom when they were together), walked out with no job and left the car behind. If you don't show that child how much they are worth to you, they'll look for that worth in someone else, even a nasty old coot....
