My baller "friend" is a weird one. Help me, help myself.
He's an a******, I don't think we're compatible or will ever be...we're just comfortable - years of us being friends and oversharing. No sex. He will stand me up, act a nut and then say he loves me - tell his friends and anyone who can hear. I think he hides me from other ballers too, last time he pretty much wanted me to wait at the Seasons while he went out to God knows where. Pfft, I went home. His best friend has said he was intimidated but that's the same cop out with most BM. He'll talk me up, have me on Skype when he has company over there and s*** but keep me away from the ballers WE ALL WANNA MEET?!
Now here's the pertinent issue: He made a comment about me coming to see him when I'm free. I said when he finds a ticket I'll hop on a flight and he said "Welp, that won't work then." But just last night he sent me the SS12 Giuseppe's he thinks will look good on me and asked if I wanted them, and if not, to send him what I want. Then he asked me about my vacation schedule since the season is ending...ASLKJFGLSKJ What kind of mind games are these? The shoes he sent me are 5x the price of a plane ticket. A trip to the Maldives is even more so.
It's like he doesn't want to keep me as just a friend but he isn't trying to lock me down either, and I've known him too long to feel right trying to "use him." Or should I anyway?
How would you ladies handle this??!
NB: He's been trying to gift me with things for a long time now but I'm one of those who already has a lot and don't know how to ASK for things. Before you bark at me, I'm working on it ( ._.)

CC: Hahahaha, you're a riot. He kinda does want me where he wants me, like you & DB say. But it's too much of that King-like complex I can't f*** with.
MS.: He does almost all the time esp when or after we see each other. We talk about everything really, and HE does more of the calling so the chemistry is there. It's just not romantic and lustful on my end because he's not my dating type - I like my men tall AND attractive. I definitely won't pay for my own flight to see a man.
Tone: Eh, obviously not.

Girl start playing the hell out of him. He is full of games.MOVE ON AND MOVE UP!! There is something not right with him. YOu see the red flags.. RUN!! And if you dont know by now that if he can;t keep his word then black his #. You dont have time for that. IF you are single date!! The main plan is NOT TO GIVE IT UP BUT TO GET ALOT!
When he asks why dont you call or answer his calls,tell him that he plays to many games and that he is all talk and act like the other line is ringing and tell him to call you back MONDAY!
If he does not call back it's not like you are losing anything.. NEXT!!

i would not spend time with someone that clearly shows that they can't follow through with their word! Why set yourself up for failure. He is a game player. NAH, ignore him.. Why set yourself up to be played? If he wanted to see you he would have by now. MEN DO WANT THEY WANT! NEXT!!!

Exactly, Student. You're right, I've tried to cut him off but I don't last long - I try to straighten him out with silent treatment and ignoring him every time he f**** up, but he goes weeks and comes back with just enough for me to relax until he f**** up again. All these dead end streets, I'm ready to drive his ass off the road.
Lady, and then what? That won't help. He's too inconsistent, I don't want any "developments" - I need to tighten up, not loosen up. LOL

Has he bought the gifts he's sending you pictures of? Even if you say no if he was serious he would still send it especially for your bday. If he hasn't actually sent anything (f*ck that indepenedent sh*t) then yes he's playing mind games.

ATown: LMAO @ f*** that independent s***. Girl, I'm trying to come off of it. No, he sent me the pics the other day to force me to tell him what to get coz I've been stalling since December. I've sent him what I want now though, so I'll let you guys know when I get it.
