I know exactly how you are feeling. I went through this a few years ago. I'll tell you, sitting at home is not going to help the situation at all. The way to make friends is to meet people. You have to go out and get into different things. I don't know if you are in school still or not, but join clubs and organizations. Take a cooking class (I'm sure there will be other women there). Go to receptions for different events and network. Some of my closest friendships are from people who started out as business contacts. You can also join a young professional network, or a club for people who are interested in your area of work. When you meet people, just be sure to exchange contact information and stay in contact with them. You never know how it will end up.

Girl, I understand what you're going through! I have close female friends, but I'm the only single one and it's starting to get uncomfortable. As much as I love my male companions, I need a single girl I can relate to that's not crazy, melodramatic, or just a dumb broad. Being a good person can make you feel even lonlier because you can see the bullshit in people from jump. If you are spiritual, start going to church. Go to a college and take some continuing education course, they're cheaper than credit courses and often consist of many women looking to get out of the house. I can be your e-friend of you get desperate. *cyber hug*

Awww I feel the same way! I had about 2 or 3 good friends, but I had outgrown them in the sense where I was focused on school they were focused on boys when I was focused on my making real money they were focused on welfare and section 8 and now they all have 2+ babies and I have none. Now I have one good friend, however she isn't too adventurous like myself. So I know the feeling. The best thing to do is to get out, join groups and network. But we all know that can be hard because of how most of us females think...not trusting-thinking everyone is out get us, thinking the chick will eventually become a hater/jealous etc. and now a days alot of women are "bisexual" so the last thing I (anyway) would want to do is give a chick the wrong impression.

im so lonely i have a weekly tv line up that i follow when im not studying or reading, my dude is always working so im extra alone

Poor thing...try meeting friends who are your level in school. That is a start. I always met female friends in school, but the relationship only lasted as long as the semester.
