Find groups/clubs for things you're interested in or want to learn more about - ie. wine tastings
Join a gym, find a church. Look for networking events you may be able to connect with someone professionally and socially. Jump on FB - you never know who in your FB Fam has relocated and may be able to connect you with some events, etc.

I am actually based in Charlotte so I'm there quite a bit....Charlotte's nightlife on the weekends are fun during the summer...A lot of the panthers and bobcats go to Cosmos on the weekends and Wet Willies just opened in Charlotte and it's really nice as well as The Forum...And you will find A LOT of ballers at 935...good luck

where is 935 @? i think thats a club i went to b 4 but it was hood, it has two floors, they have a screen where u can see in the middle of the dance floor on the wall, the small VIP upstairs was packed, i mean packed - fantasia was there and was bout to fight - lol... Ima have to try these other places in July

I live in Charlotte Too (well the Lake Norman Area). I love it so much, I really think its an up incoming city. A lot of people from the North are moving down. I found it very easy to find a job! If any ba women want to get together for lunch/dinner feel free to messsage me. I don't know a lot of people here either.

@Ally what do you do if you don't mind me asking??

I didn't have a job when I moved here but I wasn't going to find a job where I moved from making anything more than min wage and a sistah can't live off of that!!! What kind of work do you do, I have a ton of family friends here in all kinds of professions, if you need any help with anything I'm here!

im a flight attendant....and @MsUCAN no 935 doesn't have 2 stories its a pretty wide club though...and it gets a lot of play...i never wait in that long ass line though cause those hoes are too cheap to pay $30 extra for vip lol but i would love to meet up with anyone in charlotte after i get back from nassau next week

@ Ally I would love to get together I have a very flexible schedule. Just let me know when you get back in town : )

@ Sassy I will meeting with my personal banker tomorrow (Even though I don't have much money lol) I'll ask her if she know's of anything jobs or has any resources that you could use! Check online and see if the bobcats or panthers have any positions you may be interested in and let me know.

The only reason I just up and moved was to get away from an abusive a****** no good ninja! I wish I would have got a job first because the moving costs used up all of my little savings and I got a little behind on bills but it's all good now. I'm so happy with my life here ; )

Thanks everyone for your replies! So far I love it here it's just getting used to everything and trying to be more social as far as females are concerned lol males i have no problem with. : ) I just joined a gym so hopefully I can meet more people that way and i would love to meet up with anyone here I will try to pm as soon as i can figure out how to...kinda new to the site

I don't have anything to offer about Charlotte, but I'm glad you were able to get away from an abusive relationship and that you're happy where you're are...
