I am offended when people use it, unless it's in comedy, which I know is kinda stupid. I try not to use the word myself (until I'm driving, regardless of race, you are a N!GGA if you do something dumb). I swear to God, I'm a road-racist, and I need help.

I was offended on the subway the other day when I heard two spanish boys talking about their "friend" but it didnt seem like it was a "term of endearment" in the context of the discussion...

They don't mean any harm by it ( I don't know about white people saying it ) .... it's not the word that bothers me but the intention behind the word ! MOST Spanish people in Miami or down south period , don't consider themselves white . Some of our Spanish BA posters use it too !!!! They mean it the same way we do .... most of the time we say it in the place of " dude " , "boy " or "man" .... sorry , it's the southern way , you'll get used to it !

Boss one day I'm gonna take you to the area I grew up in , Ocho Cinco lived right around the corner . You will bug the f*ck out listening to the white people talk !!! lol ... then you will understand why it's so easy for him to date a Spanish woman , we grew up with them !

omg!! i get offended whn i hear other races as in white ggirls say it! alot of "strippers hookers out here use that term alot ad it pisses me off! they say it becuz their dude is black or whatever trying to prove their downess or whatever but it just sounds so ignorent to me and i wanna slap they heck out of em.. UGH!!

none of my wht,hispanic, etc. friends use it. i dont think i would be upset if they did, but they know just dont even say it. lol i have no control of what people say around me so i want comment on that part.........**bitting tongue hard**

It bothers me too. I can truthfully say that I do not use the word. I hear it from blacks, whites and hispanics. They use it in a slang way. Like it's cool to say nigga. I think they get it from hip-hop. When you think about it, who's the biggest consumers right now of hip-hop music?....It sure ain't black folks....not no more.

I think it's just the word evolving again. There's obviously a difference between nigger and nigga - in my opinion and it also depends on how it's said. But the younger generation that grew up listening to hip hop (all races) use it as a term of endearment, I believe. My ex broke up with me because we had a simple discussion about this and we just couldn't see eye to eye. I understand his anger about it and I wasn't saying it was right, just saying this is how it is now and kids of all nationalities are saying it. I should cut and paste this and send it to his bitch ass!
