Miami has changed... I lived in Miami years back and that shyt was not happening. There would have been some misunderstandings..straight up. Funny thing is, I'm of Latin decent but I don't have an accent nor look it (not exactly). And trust, when Colombians and Cubans thought I was a Black American, it was all good, but as soon as I started speaking Spanish and they learned I was one of them it was a whole different type of reception... so don't always believe the hype. My ppls are good ppls don't get me wrong, Latins tend to look out for each other tight... something I wish all minorities would do more of.

I can count the times I've use that word. It means ignorant point blank. Here is what I don't get, the word idiot has the same meaning regardless of how it is used...be it jokingly, seriously, whatever, it still means the same... ugly, means ugly even if said or used in a playful manner. It doesn't matter how it is used it still means the same. Nigger, nigga, niggah, however it is said, still means the same... it is no term of endearment. Blacks were called that by Whites to demean them, then they [Blacks] began to use the term on one another, [initially, and still sometimes] NOT as something good, but also as something derogatory... Just recently hip hop culture is trying to make a push to give it a different meaning... The meaning will never change. I just wish a wise RAPPER could have came up with a smarter word to call each other than a racist, contemptuous term...and then try to flip the meaning as if not to know any better.

I would be but its obvious that whoever they hangin around have given dem the approval and they think its a okay but they must dont kno u can say it in front of every1 ...They would be corrected if I heard them I dont really like black people 2 use it so loosely like every other word is Nigga ..I hate that shit but its the world we live in.So if no1 speaks on it they will continue 2 say it wit no problems

I hate the word, I cringe when I hear it. It was hard for me to listen to my cousins use it in DC when I visited them. It won't go away if it's used in the music we listen to and the music execs greenlight those kind of songs.

i cringe when i hear fat joe or dj kahled(sp?) say it! What if I was like wuss upp wetback! yo u my spit for real! they would look at me crazy! I'm from fort lauderdale & hispanics do use the term and in my family there are some black hispanics, who maybe dont look it but are, so i'm kinda used to that.

it's hard to be mad at certain latinos that use it cause they obviously have african blood flowing through their veins. fat joe being one of them. hell i did't even know joe was puerto rican for the longest time. i just thought he was yella.

I don't know... that shit would IRK my soul... I would CRINGE everytime I heard it... I'm not sure if I would be able to get used to it...

picture that, somebody laughing and joking with me and then saying, "y'all niggas be lunchin'"... I'd be like, "Yeah?" {WHOP, WHOP} "Lunchin' like this?" {WHOP, WHOP}...

I get pissed... my Latin friends don't use it around me. I've actually checked nob blacks for using it within my presence. Then their black friends take up for them saying "hes vnot black, hes cuban"! *SMH*

I am in a town where the white girls r more hood then the black girls. Mainly because the black men wife the white and f--k the black. I use the word in form of Nigga not Nigger and accept it as such. at one point the word Bitch could start a riot if the man used it but not the woman. I say screw it, this world went to shit long time ago. Call me nigga just not with a strap, sum overalls, and a tree near by.
