OFFICIAL BASKETBALL WIVES DISCUSSION **UPDATE** Renewed for SEASON 2

 has announced that Basketball Wives, What Chilli Wants and Brandy
and Ray-J: A Family Business has been renewed for a second seasons. The
three made decent amount of ratings for VH1 and will continue.
Basketball Wives will will begin filming its second season this summer.
The finale of the show will air May 30th. Brandy and Ray-J season finale
will air June 27th.


Definitely can't wait for the premier....

    One of the world's most well known Basketball Wives, executive producer
    Shaunie O'Neal is a force to be reckoned with. Beautiful, confident,

    Royce has been in the spotlight nearly her entire life. Born and raised
    in Orlando loving all things sports, she is a former gymnast,
    competitive cheerleader, and dancer for professional basketball teams in
    both Miami and Orlando. Recently she started her own Burlesque Dance
    Company Fantashique which travels all over Florida. The only thing more
    colorful than her Fantashique dance moves is her personality. She is a
    firecracker, a strong-minded, driven woman who is no stranger to
    confrontation. While she's a sweetheart most of the time, Royce can turn
    it on in a hot second and rarely bites her tongue. In the future, she
    looks forward to pursuing her acting career, finding a new man, and
    mixing with the rest of the basketball wives. Her hardest task with the
    other wives will be debunking the negative stereotype that the wives
    have against team dancers.

    Jennifer "Red Carpet" Williams is no stranger to the highlife having
    grown up in South Orange, NJ, an upscale suburb just outside of New York
    City. So it didn't surprise many when she ended up marrying a wealthy
    and successful professional basketball player, Eric Williams, whom she
    first met in 2000. Her glitzy lifestyle extends into her professional
    life in being a high-end real estate agent and wildly successful
    business owner of the upscale women's work out company Flirty Girl
    Fitness. Behind all the bling, however, Jennifer supports several
    charities and even founded Project Save the World to help fight several
    different causes. Jennifer keeps her friends close and guards them
    viciously. Her mercurial relationship with hubby Eric shows the unique
    challenges and hard work it takes to be the wife of a professional
    basketball player.

    No party in Miami really begins until Suzie Ketcham arrives. Having
    lived in New Jersey, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and now Miami, Suzie is
    connected all across the country and is the social butterfly of the
    basketball wives. She met professional basketball player Michael
    Olowokondi while attending college at Pepperdine University and was
    pregnant with their first child her senior year in college. They would
    have two wonderful children and be together for 10 years before finally
    splitting. Having been with an athlete for that long, Suzie knows the
    ins and outs of the "game" and is extremely protective and loyal to her
    friends. If she senses that one of her ladies is being attacked, she'll
    be the first girl on the scene ready to have their back. Now, fresh off
    her break up, Suzie has her eyes set on her multiple charities, her
    amazing children, her luxury real estate agent ambitions, and of course,
    tackling the nightclub scene with her best group of basketball wives.

    Evelyn Lozada was born in Brooklyn, raised in the boogie-down Bronx and
    is always in a New York state of mind. Raised solely by her mother, this
    Puerto Rican beauty always aspired to break out of her relatively small
    world and always dreamt of something bigger and better. Evelyn had her
    first taste of the entertainment world when she took a job as an
    assistant to a well known entertainment attorney to the stars and would
    eventually meet and become engaged to the basketball star, Antoine
    Walker. Evelyn moved to her adopted hometown of Miami in 2007 and now
    co-owns Dulce (and dulceshoes.net) an upscale shoe boutique located in
    Coral Gables, Florida. Dulce now allows Evelyn to live out her childhood
    dreams of fashion. In addition to being a socialite that supports many
    charitable causes, Evelyn takes great pride in being a devoted mother
    and businesswoman. She is highly regarded as a fashionista and style
    trendsetter. Even before she founded Dulce, Evelyn was photographed not
    just because of ex-fiancé's game, but because of her own impressive
    "shoe game".

  6. GloriaGloria

    Through her sister, who was a highly touted basketball player, at the
    age of only 12 years old, Gloria Govan would meet the man whom she will
    soon marry, Matt Barnes. After several years apart, Matt and Gloria
    would reconnect when he played near Gloria's hometown of Oakland. The
    two fell madly in love and now have twin 16-month-old boys. At the young
    age of 24, aside from planning the upcoming wedding of her dreams,
    Gloria is also focused with businesses outside of basketball and is
    heavily involved in several charities including Matt's very own Athletes
    Vs Cancer. Her storybook relationship always seems to be questioned by
    the rest of the women who feel that it's maybe "too" perfect to be true.
    Her hardest task is fitting in with the rest of the women who are
    several years older and who constantly question her naïveté. Whether she
    even cares what the others think is another matter!

Royce - I agree with you esp. regarding your thoughts on Royce, she is about 5years older than DHoward, now I see both were still on the same mental level. Honey, you are a grown woman with a child start acting and dressing as such. I remember when I was 28 or 29 there was no way that my everyday attire was jeans and tennis shoes. Come on grow up!

Evelyn - Cannot wrap my mind around the fact she continued to stay with AWalker and he did not marry her esp. when her girl Jennifer was married and living the good life with EWilliams.

Suzie - Uhummm....is she even relevant? Her life story mirrors Evelyn with a baller for 10years and not married. Enough said........for now:-)

Gloria - Girl please wake up. Matt is a good guy, but, do not put the others down because they did lived the life you are FINALLY LIVING ; and just like Matt; AWalker and EWilliams said they loved Evelyn and Jennifer as well...look where both of those ladies are now. I am not saying do not trust your man; however, be real about your life. Besides, Gloria come on YOUR sister may have slept with Shaq and she is pregnant with another BBaller baby.

That "mush mouth" girl is Suzie....she needs an interpreter...her voice and sentences make no sense.

Evelyn is silly to think that she could be engaged to a man, a BASKETBALL PLAYER AT THAT, since she was 23 or 24 and NOT THINK that he wasn't going to cheat on her if he didn't "put a ring on it" after 10 years....she played herself with him...and ditched him when the well went dry...so to me that sounds like she wasn't marriage material anyway...don't the vows still say "for richer or poorer, in good times and bad"?..thought so....she is very transparent in that sense...still a mystery to me on some other things....but maybe that's why she and the fakest one of all (Jennifer) are "cool like that"....her and Jenn are two peas in a pod. They wasted time even going to Gloria's house....why go if they were going to just throw her under the bus and criticize her relationship? They were just being nosey and trying to size Matt up because of what happened to them.

Wooow...Different strokes for different folks. I wear sneakers, sweats, scrubs, jeans, etc just about every day. And when there's a special occasion or whenever I just feel like it, then I'll dress up and dress my ass off... Some people are forced to dress up with their jobs or line of work...but not all jobs require that, not all people work 9-5s...It's funny because this is actually how you know that you're bad...When you have guys/ballers trying to holla and you ain't in 6 inch heels and designer threads.

I've had "ballers" who met me for the first time to tell me they love that about me and that I ain't like the "other broads" wearing heels all the time....so again, different strokes for different folks. Her two yr-old son is very active, so the sneakers and jeans every day suits her just fine in running and chasing him and doing other fun activities. I don't know any two yr-olds who care much about clothes.

It's just funny because I don't ever hear many people saying this about the men like Shaq, Will Smith, and Dwight etc and their playful, silly laid-back ways....They are who they are and their kids seem to love them...

But for real though, a cute pair of jeans, and a fitted tee goes a looooooong way... I have yet to meet a man (NBA, NFL, hip-hop, dboy, blue collar, white collar, etc) that preferred me dressed up over "me"... shat most men even prefer NO makeup...

but for real though, Royce is running around behind a 2 year old... there is NO reason for her to play dress up 24/7

But nah if someone took my sneakers away from me...Well let's just say hell hath no fury...you know the rest...I'm a former athlete and grew up a tomboy so I can relate to her in that sense...It's just more comfortable and easier to run/jog,walk, play ball and whatever else.

She's living in Orlando...you know what's in Orlando...a ton of theme parks...And she and her son go all the time...

I havent seen any of the episodes, i get all my info from yall but from reading the blogs and things that Cassandra did, IM thinking shes like I dont "date" them, I just f*** them, they give me money - peace out so thats not techinically dating and she doesnt see herself as a groupie so dats prolly why she wrote she has neva been a groupie on her twitter
Ive only seen stories, saw the pool party dancing from Royce, but she just seems to be down to earth. My question is how does she act like a child, or not grown as ppl have put it. Im bout her age and i dont act @ times, nor do i look like im 30, ive been told. I like to have fun. Its like i have two sides, my playful side and my business/grown-up side. when im out doin grown-up things, thats what i do - very mature, but when im chillen with my nieces and family, im silly, i chase the dog round the house, run behind the kids, let'em beat me up, stay on the floor rolling with them, make all kinda crzy noises they like, my mom, be like can yall shut that noise up? im just having fun but some will say u acting childish.

I don't give a s*** WHAT my husband did/is doing. I will NEVER let a b**** sit in my face and tell me anything about me, my husband or what's going on in my home. I would've done more than throw a drink in her face. #itsnotagame
