Puberty at 26????
Hi Ladies and Gents!
I have always had great skin with no acne issues hell I used to sleep with makeup and never break out. Well that all changed right before I turned 26 earlier this year. I can not stop breaking out! Initially thought it was stress related at the time but its my down time and am still breaking out.
I now wash my face twice a day use exfoliating and acne creams but I don't think its helping. It may not be very noticeable to others but it definitley noticeable to me. Oh yeah and wearing makeup seems to make it worst. I use Prescriptive foundation which is already light weight.
Help! Has anyone gone through this? What did you do?

Have you ever tried Cleanse & Polish by Liz Earle? It's a brand we have here in the UK, but you can get it online in the US too. My skin's never been better since switching to it. The deep cleaning mud mask is great too. It's all natural ingredients and non drying.

Yes ma'am!!! The EXACT thing!! I turned 26 in Januray then all of a sudden my skin hated me!!! I bought proactive, Clinique, and some other s***. None of it worked...I FINALLY used my good ass insurance and went to the dermatologist and viola!!! 3 weeks later my skin cleared. Go to the dermatologist

Word time to look on a dermatologist I swear my skin hates me as well.

I agree, a dermatologist is the best. When I turned 26 my skin went cray... My derm prescribed me retin-a and another product. It is strong, but it works well!

Same story here, I turned 21 and my face started acting like I'd just turned 16. I found that two things were breaking me out, the tap water I was washing my face with was extremely too "hard" and in an effort to combat breakouts, I was washing my face extremely too much which started to make my face break out even more. I went to a really good "facialist"and havent had a problem since.

Your welcome! Forgot to add they do little trial sizes of everything, so you can test before going full size. They usually give a lil gift too like a small sample. Hope you find something that works for you hun :)

thx..its comforting to know others experienced this. I shall be quoting all the meds ya'll said when I go to the dermatologist.

I like to use african black soap for my skin. It really cleanses well and tightens. I also want to remind yall to drink lots of water. I'm tryna step my water intake up cuz I'm getting plenty small bumps on my cheeks. Summer and sweating can induce breakouts, so that maybe a factor.

My friend had been on the pill from age 14 because of terrible period pains, at the age of 26 she went off the pill but started breaking out, even breaking out on her chest all because she stopped taking the pill. So if you have stopped taking the pill that might be the reason.
