If he said I'd see you around, I'd think he was masking bitterness and plotting. Did you reject with the option of returning the money, or you said it like...yep been three wks, I've spent the $ and decided not to follow through?? Pull out the sympathy card. Tell him you feel bad that he feels bad and it didn't work out. You could give him the money back, make it sound like a slightly cumbersome task. Let's be real, when you sign a lease to your spot, you plan to GET that damn apartment. If they come offering you some new s*** on move in day you'd be livid, you want compensation. You want free first month's rent, a lower rate on rent...something. So act like you're trying to be accommodating - you're sitting on a deposit with no plans to follow through. LOL

Hell na LOL I don't play with people's money... The deal was he would give me 3 weeks to decide its only been a week and I decided not to so when I called I told him he said ok don't worry bout the money I'll see you around
