Honestly, I am moving towards believing christianity might be joke, an institution to control ppl. The more educated I become and the more i study history I find that christianity has been a tool to fool, betray, disenfranchise, enslave many a people...case in point, the history and extermination of indigenous peoples in the Americas,Australia and Africa. Why do u think them Arabs/China dont f*** with America? They know better.....lol...anyways black ppl have been sold a white jesus and been taught to not question it....so thats why there are plenty of indiscretions going on in the black church but its never talked about. Also the black church has done nothing as of late to improve the black community overall.....in my opinion, considering there are still teen pregnancy/unwed mothers/civil rights issues going on...of course though, the black church is also grossly patriarchal and while a woman's indiscretions are preached about, rarely do u hear sermons addressing male indiscretions and sin...more like general ass s*** being preached about

I agree with u, i read the bible cover to cover and it never says sex is bad...matter fact u have a whole book dedicated to lovin "Song of Solomon" and all kinds of juicy tales about sex and intrigue in the Old Testament. However, I do believe the New Testament was censored centuries ago. there are things missing

I am a spiritual person, not religious so I see things a lot differently. I hope I see things a bit clearer than the average religious person. Only God knows for sure though.

Sex HAS to be discussed in church... Preachers have sermons that speak of or are dedicated to fornication, adultery, and homosexuality... you can tell kids not to do something, but that doesn't suffice for children that are truly struggling with these issues... especially homosexuality... I know of a few guys (both teen & adult) that went to their pastor about gay feelings... More than one was "approached" by the pastor...
When you are struggling with something that you are constantly told cerrtain things are wrong but then your pastor, deacon, youth director etc. comes at you, it can be EXTREMELY confusing, whether you are male or female...
I know of both young men & women that have been taken advantage of, and IMO if there were more honest discussions, kids would be better equipped...
